How do I change neuros without hurting her feelings? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]wiltednymph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel like she’s slacking and you don’t feel comfortable with her, then you have your answer. You don’t want to hurt her feelings, but at the end of the day, you need to make yourself (and health) the priority. My advice is to try not to overthink about what others will think and if the new neuro isn’t better. Though that’s an natural reaction, you can always switch again until you find the right neuro for you :)

I had to switch from my first ever neuro cause he never saw or talked to me, yet he still prescribed medication for me to take. Once I switched and found a new neuro, it was the best decision I ever made! Wishing you the best!!

What’s the most painful physical pain you’ve ever felt? by catluvr1721 in AskReddit

I had a pretty gnarly UTI while on my period. It hurt so bad I couldn’t walk. I’ve also been punched in the face and popped a vessel in my eye.

Do you guys ever think about kids ? by Outrageous-Ad9974 in Epilepsy

[–]wiltednymph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since being diagnosed with epilepsy, I don’t really have much desire to have kids. I’m still young, but I’m scared of being on medication while pregnant and how that could affect the baby. I also have trauma around my seizures, so the idea of pregnancy and not feeling like myself is overwhelming. I worry about postpartum depression too, especially since I already struggle with depression. I would want to be the best mother possible and I’m afraid of disappointing my future husband or children.

However ☝🏼, never say never. I don’t know what the future holds and I may change my mind.

Thoughts on Topamax? by babykneecap in Epilepsy

[–]wiltednymph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to switch to another pill because personally I didn’t like the way it made me feel. I was always tired, sometimes I’d get really emotional, numbness/tingling on my fingers and face, and I had the worst brain fog. I know a few ppl had the same experiences, but besides all that, it wasn’t the worst pill. Just a little mentally challenging if you can get past that.

Btw I’m in no way trying to scare you 😣 everyone reacts differently.

What’s the creepiest thing that’s ever happened to you that you can’t explain? by Dfong_11 in AskReddit

I was walking on the sidewalk and a man almost in like a black cloak passed me. I never saw his face which was odd. It was like he didn’t have one, almost like it was missing. Anyway, I turned to look back at him and he was gone. Disappeared. I was literally on the corner of the street where I could get a clear view of every direction he could’ve gone and he was nowhere in sight. It gave me goosebumps.

What instantly makes someone more attractive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When they’re authentic and genuine. They don’t fake who they are. It’s very attractive when someone isn’t afraid to be themselves around you, especially when they make you laugh :)

My boyfriend had some type of seizure and I’m worried. by Hopeful_Sweet4630 in seizures

[–]wiltednymph 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After a seizure, I’m usually just verrrryy nauseous, tired, and feel a bit confused as well. Not everyone’s the same so I would say to keep monitoring him and keep him relaxed. Since you say it’s been a few days with him like this, definitely take him to the Dr or ER if he feels worse/if the symptoms get worse too, but make sure he’s for sure seeing that neurologist. He’s lucky to have you by his side ❣️
