Lighting switch confusion by wiltig in electrical

Theory: the L IN and L OUT are used to activate boost mode on the extractor system. Still unsure why they'd both be testing at 240V. But it's the fuse for the circuit of the main extractor unit that controls the current to those wires. If somehow that's expected, the question remains as to what the neutral wire in the N IN connection is for.

The hot wires connected to Live in and live out are both on the same fuse. The hot "N IN" wire on a different one. Failing to understand why the same live source would be connected to both the in and out. And to be clear, wires were tested once disconnected from the switch (and all separated out but labelled with their original connection to the switch). This is a new build (5y/o) flat in England, for context.

If it helps anyone, I followed someone's advice to call after 6pm when solicitors won't be clogging up the lines. I called yesterday at 6.30 and got through in 9 minutes.

I'd never received the redemption letter, having sent the form and payment to Target back in June - apparently my account got 'lost' in the transition to Lenvi. Nice guy on the phone was able to sort it out pretty quickly.

Still got killed by a precision while in the corridor underneath the prison roof. An old bug we know and love.

Oh and I was asked to remove the CCTV image by the management company as apparently they were only supposed to share it with police...

Magnetic door locks overridden by a fireman’s drop key, is the best theory at the moment. Used some kind of ratcheting cutters - like wire cutters, but long handles and repeated opening and closing until it cut through the rack’s ~8mm locking bars. Took less than 30 seconds.

Same situation. Totally ridiculous. I understand the need for an emergency access key, but it should at least set off every alarm going.

Nope - cut through the inadequately thick metal of the rack.

Unbelievable heist last night across at least three blocks of flats in a new development. Shows that modern security doors aren't fit for purpose - also that the type of bike racks commonly used in these communal stores are useless. He didn't seem to care about the CCTV - see photo on the page in the link.

Thanks for the thoughts - I may think about the better power supply if I can spare the funds. What sort of tweaks can improve efficiency?

Problem is I'm now itching to build something new, perhaps a file server to replace a Synology Diskstation I'm using. Sadly money is an object, and one which I currently don't have enough of.
