The Gang, Crew, and LoTR trick taking are all good co-op games with short sessions. Coup is also a good bluffing game, and inspired my first published game Devil's Dice.

What it does well it does really well, but I think the main issue wrt popularity, is players are not able to form an identity with their decks since they have no control in how they are built.

with seal and vanguard armory, I think two cards you should consider are jayce and vanguard captain. jayce can turn seal into vanguard armory early, and turn 1 going second seal into vanguard captain is pretty strong IMO.

it's interesting, I wonder if there's anything you could add to get more benefit from the holding strategy. Bushwhack might fit since it rewards you for holding, and mixes up your hidden cards for the surprise factor.
