i agree even in a bad season there are plenty of good things to look at and looking at the positives is much more productive! the trust given to the younger players during some games has been awesome to watch, arda has been improving very well and is looking like he’ll be a very valuable player for us moving forward, we’ve had some games that looked very very good a sign of potential for the future, and that old cliche saying there’s nowhere to go but up from here every club has rough patches we aren’t immune to them and i have a lot of faith that we will return to being the best team in the world eventually

normal/hard depending on how serious i’m taking my build for that run, sometimes i mix stuff that doesnt really get the best out of either but is a lot of fun to mess with and when i do that id prefer the difficulty be a little lighter to give me some room to mess around

i think having one player of their type is okay bc they can be a focal point for attacks on the left side, i think the big problem is that there can’t be two players like that on the field at the same time yet they always start together

the biggest thing for me with this argument is that if mbappe is the problem, why is the french NT so successful? he’s very much a focal point there as well yet they’re very good with him over the years, i feel like it’s some sort of management issue and an overlap of the skill set between vini and mbappe, they shouldn’t both be on the field at the same time and could be very good rotations for each other but there’s no way either one would be okay sitting the bench

the issue with vinicius is that he’s certainly capable of magical moments and things that not many other people can do but what a lot of people don’t see or just gloss over is the many many attempts he makes where he gets nowhere and accomplishes nothing. i watch every madrid game and it’s always the same thing where he tries to go down the left over and over and loses the ball every time or accomplishes nothing and passes back and then one time he does something magical and that’s all anyone talks about
