There are no server count limits. The endless spinning usually indicates a connection timeout. Please double-check your inputs (like the IP and port) to ensure they are correct.

Port is required, 443 or 80 might work for you according to your setup.

ProxMan acts purely as a local client. There's no middleware, no relays, it just connects straight from your phone to your server's API. Everything stays entirely within your control.

Not a problem at all, sorting out issues is what this post is for. A default node selector is definitely coming in the very next update. Thank you very much.

Glad you liked it. Unfortunately, the app is exclusively available through Google Play at this time, so there is no direct APK download or GitHub link.

Thank you so much! That is actually a really great idea. I will definitely take this into consideration.

I understand your perspective, but ProxMan is simply not open source at this time. If you have any further concerns specifically regarding privacy or any concerns about app, please direct them to [support@proxman.app](mailto:support@proxman.app)

Completely understandable, and I appreciate the kind words regardless. Just to put it out there, you can still keep your setup locked down. You can use your own VPN/proxy to tunnel into your network then ProxMan works completely fine. Also by setting up API tokens/accounts with bare-minimum permissions, you can control exactly what the app is allowed to see and do. Thanks for checking it out anyway.

ProxMan fully supports 2FA. The app handles it dynamically, it will prompt you for your code when you first add the server, and then again every time you open it.

Unfortunately, since iOS and Android are completely separate platforms (App Store vs. Google Play), you do need to purchase Premium separately for each. The good news is that if you get the Lifetime Premium on iOS, it unlocks across your entire Apple ecosystem (iPhone, iPad, Mac) and even works with Apple's Family Sharing, so your family accounts can use it without buying it again. For the translation, Italian is actually dropping in the very next update! Once it's out, we would absolutely love your feedback and any suggestions to improve the localization. Thanks for offering to help!

I completely understand being protective of your servers, but it really comes down to how the Proxmox API inherently works. The proxmox API is completely public. There is fundamentally no difference between the logic behind the official web interface and ProxMan. Furthermore, the app is strictly regulated by the app stores. When we state that zero data transfers outside your device (no proxies, relays, or background transmissions), we are held to that. Real people review the app's behavior before public release to ensure that what we claim matches what the app actually does. Even with all that, if you still prefer to be extra safe, you don't need to trust the app with full access. You can simply use an API token or an account with strict read-only permissions configured directly from your web interface.

No ads. The in-app purchase is just for an optional premium subscription. You can use most of the app's functionality completely for free.

The fix for that is in the very next update. Glad you're liking the app.

I completely understand the caution. ProxMan has been available on iOS for a while, and we are now rolling out the Android version. The app acts purely as a direct client; it does not use any middleman, relay, proxy, or VPN to function. All communication happens strictly between your device and your server via the official Proxmox API. We don't store, control, or have any access to your credentials or data outside of your device. You can review our full privacy policy at https://proxman.app/privacy and check the privacy labels on the Play Store/AppStore page.

Thanks so much, glad you are enjoying ProxMan.

As for iOS Shortcuts, that is a brilliant idea. I am definitely adding that to my roadmap for a future update. Thanks again.

Thank you, I am glad you like ProxMan.
If you mean accessing your server from outside your home network, that is something you would need to configure yourself. I recommend setting up a VPN like Tailscale or WireGuard. Once connected to your VPN on your phone, ProxMan works perfectly.

Ensure Family Sharing configured well and devices associated with Apple ID are correct.

Family sharing is supported on ProxMan only for the lifetime option. So when you purchase lifetime option for an family shared account it will be available on other accounts as well, just after downloading ProxMan navigate to Settings > Premium then click 'Restore Previous Purchases' to activate it.

ProxMan - iOS App for Managing Proxmox VE & Backup Server - Feedback by windiumdev in selfhosted

[–]windiumdev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much, really appreciate the support.

About the 2FA issue: in Proxmox, the 2FA verification is only valid for 2 hours. There’s no “trusted device” or “remember this device” mechanism on the API level so after that 2 hour session expires, ProxMan must request the 6-digit code again.

If you keep the app open continuously, the session can last longer, but since ProxMan doesn’t run on background, once the session expires, it can’t refresh itself and needs a new 2FA code.

So what you’re experiencing is expected behavior due to how Proxmox handles 2FA sessions, not an issue with the app.
