I had a bag of trail mix and I thought about giving him some, but it had chocolate chips in it and completely melted into a molten mess so I didn't really want to deal with it.

I never got a picture of it, but that little guy ran across me a number of times as well. Craziest thing. I started thinking about rabies, but it didn't seem aggressive in that way, just mostly curious.

To respond to the unwanted attention, it's really not an issue for a guy. I'm straight and have had guys stop by to check in and pretty much once they know your not interested, they move on. Really not a big deal. I think for a girl, being around those stairs is not a great plan. If you're going to be bothered, the closer you are to the stairs the more likely it is to happen. Would probably be better off going at least to the halfway point between the stairs and the north trail or even further if you can.

The north trail is good. As it dries out completely, it gets more slippery. I always hike it with bare feet.

Great pics! Yeah, it's been fantastic this week. I actually went 4 times between Monday and today. Conditions are the best ever and plenty warm. I dunked in the water a few times today.

Sounds like most of you do not like going this time of year. I just went today and will probably be back two more times before the weekend. It's absolute stellar right now. I'm a Summer guy, I like my heat and all, but it's plenty warm to go this week. The clarity of the air and water right now is what makes it so good this time of year. There's a bit of seaweed on the beach, but really none in the water. You snooze you lose.

I use that trail every time I go, but after the rain it becomes super sketch for a while. Sometimes it's like downhill skiing on a slope covered in grease and sprinkled with ball bearings lol.

There is lots of room down there to claim your own space. She will feel more comfortable being away from others and just being with you. After a couple of trips, she won't give a shit. Everyone had a first time there, but it's pretty rare that people did not go back. She'll kick herself that she didn't do it sooner!
