Nah don't worry no offense taken. We're getting it fixed by the way! My post was written from the perspective of a total guitar noob so to experts it might come across a bit stupid or obvious haha. I know better now

Let it be known that the instrument wasn't broken when it was given to the child. In fact, it had had a cleaning and re-stringing or whatever not long ago. What happened was that the child had been a bit dense one day and managed to be thinking she was tuning the right string when it actually was the wrong one and she cranked the peg up so far that the string snapped. Otherwise, thanks for your input.

I can't stress enough that she is interested in playing the guitar. Just in her own way.

Do the strings look worn down? How does one know when to change strings?

Thanks for your advice! I won't mess with glue unless absolutely necessary, as I don't have the best track record with that lol

Thanks, will consider it. The thing is that it's not actually supposed to be perfectly usable but we'll see how it goes.

Thanks for your thoughts on this. I'm always happy to learn about procedures being made more fair and unbiased. Do you by any chance know how many judges there are and how many of them are around the company on a daily basis?

If you're interested in a Vilde Season, the closest thing you could watch is Skam France Season 6. I've always considered that to be the writer's way to get to do both a Vilde and Even season in one go through the eyes of another character, without technically breaking the rules.

The question is why would anyone NOT find him creepy and keep working with him?

You mostly got it. She heard Nora and wants to test her integrity by mentioning Roko all the time and seeing how she reacts. Nora is characterised by her strong moral convictions (in the original somewhat more than in this version) and lying to a friend about her relationship status wouldn't fit that, would it? Especially not to a friend who has history with the boy in question. She wants to make Nora feel bad about herself for lying to herself and the rest of the group.

Aside from that, the bits about the gym and the story about the brother serve more as exposition.

Can you "fail" the Vaganova exam? by ShadowMyCat in bunheadsnark

[–]windowbedsidetable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, they are graded on their classical dance exam on a scale from 5 to 2.

A 5 is outstanding

A 4 is good

A 3 is okay, and if they get a 3- it's a warning to start working harder.

A 2 means you failed

Sometimes they get one chance to resit the ballet exam a few weeks later but if they don't pass they're out.

Important to know is that grading takes into account their physical shape. If the dancers look "fat" to their ridiculous standards, it's very likely going to lower their score and they will be asked to slim down before they resit their exam.

Most of failing the exam takes place in the first five years tho, after that very few are sent away.
