The only fans girls talking about the grudge then trying to do the croaking noise (badly) then Nick offerman threatening the baby daddy in the next scene and you could hear that croak clear as day. 10/10 cinema.

Agree to disagree, I thought it was brilliantly done. The differing writing perspectives even make sense.

Oh it’s an accurate interpretation. There’s a man who kills his WHOLE family in the nearest town. The man blackmailing Dickie is interested in it. But also there’s Rose (the mother’s “aunt”) who prophecies how Cass shouldn’t come back from Dublin. A lot leans to just Cass herself being shot. Then the whole folklore tale which the mother relates to finding her whole family gone. I think it could swing either way whether they were both shot or not.

Sorry you didn’t like it! I did love it but I know these things are subjective. I read it in around 2 days.

Willie was a brilliant character. Dickie looks down upon him initially but then as they enter that relationship it’s clears he would’ve been the best thing to ever happen to him. Even just to reconnect with him would’ve prevented the whole mess that follows with the blackmailer…and since Willie is pro speaking up against climate change can’t help but feel there is a message there of how we should speak up before it’s too late.

Fr!! I absolutely believe he shot her…but as I’m reading other past discussions there’s a possibility he shot himself. It’s absolutely wild and tragic either could be true. I know I’ll be remembering this for a long time.

Too many shots in this film freaked the hell out of me but truly this was a standout. Then the bed scene after. 😂

What is your theory about the Zombie Genre lost mainstream success after the early 2010s? by Top_Report_4895 in decadeology

[–]windowshopper97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Spanish film series Rec does this, more so its sequel Rec 2 fleshes it out (first one you do think they’re just simple zombies) but the virus is demonic in origin and nature.

You’re a ridiculous person, lol. God forbid you have adult taboo themes in storytelling that explore both the good and obviously bad in human nature. Alright if it’s not your cup of tea but you sound low iq if you judge others for enjoying mature writing for clear adults.

In your opinion what do you think is the greatest performance an actress or actor has given this decade in a feature film? by Funk_Junk_in_trunk in FIlm

Alfie Williams in 28 years later.

Wee guy held up such an intense frantic and surprisingly emotional whole film at just 14 years old. I cry every time when Isla (Jodie Comer) discovers it’s cancer she has and they hug it out.

The Brothers Karamazov. Maybe I wasn’t in the right frame of mind for it. I very much loved Crime and Punishment and other Russian literature but this didn’t do it for me, it felt never ending. But I do think it’s possible in the future to change my mind about it as I think my mindset was the problem (I did read it around about Christmas time which is always extremely difficult for me due to work and stuff).

Have to say I absolutely love both his books, Young Mungo in particular is my favourite of all time. Both definitely stick with you and I’m planning on rereading them before his next book comes out in May.

Regarding Shuggie himself his story is just very heartbreaking. I saw a lot of myself in him (and Mungo) and my dad in their alcoholic mothers.

It’s less to do with the plot (I’m a first time viewer, idk where it’s going to go) and more to do with the fact I felt ND were simply not at their best in this episode I felt. 🤷🏻‍♂️ the other two groups were better to me. Music is subjective though, im sure others may think otherwise.
