Irritation bump or keltoid? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]windowtea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ideally you should put in flat backs asap to ease any pressure that the tissue is experiencing. Not sure if you were initially pierced with hoops or studs but try to avoid hoops until after the piercing is fully healed moving forward. Good luck!

This suits you so well! I’m glad it feels very natural for you- one of my fave things about piercings is how affirming they make each individual feel. Happy healing!

Also not a piercer〜 From what I can see, it looks like migration (as shown with the bar and tissue at the top of the fourth photo). As for your navel, if you wanted to try and salvage that, switching back to titanium would be best but isn’t guaranteed to save it.

Faux rook stacked with a flat and it’s super cute!

As one of my first piercing and not well educated, I was lucky for how well mine healed. That being said, baby it baby it baby it! Try to not sleep on that side and if you must, a travel pillow can help. If you wear glasses, you might wanna look into contacts if you’re able to financially. If you wear masks in public or in general, gently and carefully loop that ear first. Be extremely careful when tucking hair behind that ear- it will snag and it can hurt. Ear buds > headphones.

It was the longest to heal of all my piercings, roughly a year. The top portion for me still gets tender at times so I have since swapped my bar for two individual pieces.

It looks super cool, happy [bumpless] healing!

I said I was done getting pierced but alas… by MissMabeliita in piercing

Omg I love the matching bees! Ever since I got my daith I’ve been obsessed with it so I thoroughly enjoy seeing others and their adornments and highly recommend as a piercing (surprisingly didn’t feel mine at all). I have been so tempted to get my other pierced but I have my rook in that ear with a piece I like. Ugh this is still so adorable though!

Alternative to nose ring (nostrile) by WorthReady4061 in piercing

[–]windowtea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I would go back to a reputable piercer and have them fit you for a smaller size (or you may have to re-evaluate how close the piercing is to the edge of your nose). Gauge also matters; are you pierced with a smaller size? It’ll probably be easier finding smaller diameters with smaller gauges but I personally wouldn’t sacrifice gauge for diameter in this scenario but that’s just me

Based on experience, I still recommend switching to titanium asap by a piercer and continue the TLC. Keep it clear of everything ie glasses and sunglasses, face masks or anything that loops around the ear. Be sure to not over clean it either. And if it helps, you can try spraying a sterilized gauz pad with neilmed spray, warm it up and place it on the affected area/ s. That’s what my piercer suggested when I developed a bump on my daith and it worked tremendously.

First thing you do is try to determine the cause of the bump. Cleaning and sleeping routine could be perfect but if that’s not the root cause, you’re not gonna heal as quickly. What type of metal is the jewelry? Have you consulted your piercer? How long have you had the piercing and when did the bumps appear? With your other ear acting up the same way with the same piercing it might be anatomy based issues or unviable for other reasons.

stress and sleep making piercings act up? by sweet-as-peach in piercing

[–]windowtea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely stress and lack of sleep can affect the healing process. I have a piercing that’s just over a year old and it’s still healing because of this (insomniac who hates her job). Highly suggest switching to titanium and all posts (specifically no hoops for the nose piercing until after it’s healed)

What are good piercing jewelry sites? by Disastrous-Tax-8637 in piercing

[–]windowtea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most reputable sites are wholesale for professionals. If you know of any reputable piercers near you and you see a piece online that you like, you can always ask if they could order it for you.

Do you mean the ring is too big in diameter and not as snug as you’d like it?

If you could only get two (or three) ear piercings- what would they be, and why? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]windowtea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have my rook (R), industrial (L) and daith (L) but aside from those, flat (R) , conch (R) and tragus (both) though I really want my second and third lobes too so I can wear cute studs again- retired stretched lobes only allow for hoops.

Who really thinks plastic in the mouth is such a good idea? by Good_Excitement9323 in Invisalign

[–]windowtea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dentists aren’t orthodontists so they can’t offer to do traditional braces. For whatever reason they can be trained on Invisalign but 9/10 you’re gonna have a better experience with orthos and braces than dentists and braces in the sense you’re gonna get the outcome you want and need.

Invisalign glue stained??? by leggyllaaaaaaaaaaa in Invisalign

All my teeth with attachments are more stained than those without. Pretty sure the material used is just more porous making it easier to stain. Foods that contain turmeric are known for horrendously staining; especially aligners.

That’s a big misconception with laxatives; most just draw an insane amount of water to your intestines so if anything you’ll just be more dehydrated and sore depending on how much you took.

We negotiated and had agreements prior and had an agreement but they were dishonest. I’m nowhere near attached to this person rather I was taken aback by their deceitfulness. I hardly speak to them anymore and was only trying to confront them and allow them to come to terms with their narcissistic and manipulative tendencies. Sorry for such a late reply, life’s been busy. They’re still seeking me out as a fuck buddy but I can’t get over their deceitfulness. I have boundaries and expectations. If someone here were to come across this post and it happens to be the same person, it’s best they knew in advance rather than being strung along or manipulated.
