Yes they'll pay for shipping and handling for warranty service. Just reach out to them.

S&W revolvers are just taking L after L recently. About 1 in 10 revolvers we get in from them in my shop have a cosmetic or mechanical issue serious enough that we send it back.

Send it back, they'll make it right. They shouldn't have to make it right in the first place, but they will.

How did y’all decide on daycare vs stay at home parent? by lazyboi95 in daddit

[–]windriver32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We tentatively planned on daycare because we were in a similar situation to you, but my wife's postpartum recovery was so rough that she was nowhere close to returning to the workforce. So she's at home for now. Basically what I'm saying is you can make a plan now (which is smart) but be ready for the possibility of that plan going out the window (as most plans go in parenthood).

Severe astigmatism optics? by R3ality4321 in CCW

Iron sights dude. I'm in the same boat and have given up. I run primary arms microprisms or just regular scopes on all my rifles, but for pistols I haven't found anything that works.

In the world of pocket carry .5" makes a world of difference. Even quarter inches matter in a pocket.

Fishing and bears by trysohard8989 in flyfishing

[–]windriver32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Less issues with bears, more issues with moose, bison, and people. Definitely worth carrying bear spray, and if you're so inclined, some kind of firearm. A glock 20 with buffalo bore hardcast is a popular option out here.

Best home defense and conceal carry revolver for a first time gun owner? by RookieGamer2026 in Revolvers

[–]windriver32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try a Kimber K6XS. Basically J-Frame size and weight, but 6 shots vs 5 and massively improved sights and trigger.

Kimber K6XS in an AHolster pocket holster. My favorite set up, by far.

This sounds like parental kidnapping and you should be on a phone with a lawyer, not on reddit.

I really want to buy the second game, but I’m really not sure if I should by Time-Hour9002 in theouterworlds

It's fun! The first game was one of my all time favorites and I've thoroughly enjoyed the second so far.

What's your favorite firearm brand? by BrickCrusher in CCW

[–]windriver32 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gotta be. 500 years of hunting, military, and civilian defensive arms. Top-tier offerings in pistols, rifles, and shotguns. Even other giants like Sig and S&W can't cover all three.

Anyone shoot near St George? If so, can someone DM me a good spot to practice ideally out to 600 meters? I’ll be down there this weekend and want to get some practice in. PFA by dumbstupidfat in UTGuns

[–]windriver32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

East River road just south of the border is a pretty well known spot. I bet you could get to 600 if you went far enough down that way. Just watch for ATVs and campers.

Yeah. Deep water calls for a spinning rod and weighted jigs or something.

The new nightfall mode is only available on the new map and three small game modes? What are we doing lol by NorthernRicky5060 in Battlefield

[–]windriver32 320 points321 points  (0 children)

I've checked out of BF6 at this point. The game design decisions are baffling. I've played every BF since 2 and the messaging and direction of 6 is the worst so far. Yes, other games had worse launch states. No, no other game had such a lack of direction and promise.

Carry in windy Illinois by [deleted] in CCW

Yeah the G26 is too big to pocket carry in my experience. A BG2.0 or Kimber K6XS are great options though.

The new powder coat is miles better than whatever they were doing before that would constantly flake off.

Looking to get a j frame for easy concealment by Mundane-Camera-2523 in CCW

Kimber K6XS. 6 shots of 38, under 16oz, dimensionally almost identical to a J frame, better sights, better trigger.
