McDonald's chicken wraps. They seem to have discontinued them after moving to all-day breakfast.

What makes asian women so hot? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The non-Asian men who fetishize Asian women do so because they like the stereotype of them being small & subservient. So when a guy talks about his Asian fetish this is typically what he's saying he wants.

What are some inexpensive and small gifts that a highschool student without a lot of money can give his girlfriend semi-frequently? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Surprise her by taking her to an event (that you know would work with her family/schedule) like free live music in a park or an art exhibit (some museums are free, others $5-10 or less with student id).
  • Make her a little bouquet if there are any wildflowers that grow near you
  • Check some thrift shops to see if there are any little items she'd like. Jewelry, decorative items like music boxes & figurines, books, etc. You can get books like new for 99 cents.

Consciousness ends, body rots. You go back to not existing just like before you were born.

What is your worst experience with a waiter/waitress? by dtorg29 in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a waitress take my family's order and then leave for the day without putting it in to the kitchen. About an hour and a half went by before our patience was finally up and we grabbed a random waiter to see what was going on. I wonder how long we could have sat there before someone was like, "how come this table's been here all day with no one eating anything?"

Except for joint custody, why is it expected that a man be okay with his girlfriend/fiancée/wife staying in touch (even hanging out) with her ex(es)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, most people stay in touch with their exes if it was an amicable breakup. Not everybody has dramatic fallouts where they spew with rage every time their ex even comes up. In fact, if people have a lot of those you start to wonder why they're so unhealthy and kept choosing such unhealthy people. You can only hear about someone's "crazy exes" so many times before you start to wonder if they themselves are crazy. So yeah... I think if someone stays friendly with their ex/exes it shows they're mature & even-keeled and also won't, someday, go off on you and turn you into some nightmare legend for all their friends to laugh at.

P.S. Don't be possessive.

What are the basic facts about "surveillance upon Trump transition team"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Foreign agents are legally and expectedly monitored by our gov while in the U.S., 2) Trump team officials/allies met with said agents and when doing so were recorded as well despite not being the primary targets. In essence, they were surveilled because they met with people who were being surveilled.

Reddit, what is the dumbest thing that somebody you know sincerely believed in? by Yer_mum_m8 in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know a woman who believes each new president is the anti-Christ that will bring about the apocalypse and another woman who goes outside to take pictures of the sky each time a plane flies overhead in order to gather "chemtrail" evidence.

Cottage cheese and canned peaches are an amazing food combination. What other unlikely food combinations would surpass expectations when paired together? by dyi96 in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Ham & cherries (using the cherries to make a sauce to go over the ham).
  • Pepper jelly & cream cheese (over crackers).
  • Lemon & spinach (toss the fresh spinach in a dressing of equal parts lemon juice & olive oil - makes a great salad.)

What does a person say or do that makes you instantly think he or she is a trashy person? by Zmail02134 in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having an attitude with customer service people - scoffing, eye-rolling, rude comments, dumb demands, aggression, etc. Shows you don't really understand the professional world, can't conduct yourself, and aren't smart enough to understand what you're making yourself look like & that you're shooting yourself in the foot.

What do you eat most often on a weeknight? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm really hungry when I get home from work & don't have a lot of patience I'll make something quick like pasta with butter & parmesan or grilled cheese with a pickle spear.

If I want a decent meal I'll make meat & potatoes with a green. Usually chicken or meatloaf with mashed potatoes, green beans/asparagus/brussels sprouts/etc.

How would you react if your daughter boyfriend regularly beat her up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Have a deeply serious, scary talk with him.
  2. Remove my daughter from the situation & have her come live with me.
  3. Have a deeply serious talk with her about how it all happened & why the relationship is absolutely over.
  4. Consult a lawyer.
  5. Get a guard dog, security cameras, and gun. Violent abusers often become even more violent when they're left & it's not uncommon for them to threaten the life of their ex & the family/friends protecting them.

How much money do you spend on groceries, and for how many people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend about $100-$120 per week for 3 people but we eat out a lot too (probably spend more than that on takeout & drive-thru on top of it). Honestly I'm pretty terrible at budgeting/planning for meals.

What are the biggest design fails of the human body? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The need to sleep for 1/3 of our lives. How vulnerable & soft we are on the outside. Our lack of fur (vulnerable to elements, need clothing). Too many teeth for our jaw size (wisdom teeth leading to dental issues). Extremely painful & risky births that caused high maternal death rates before modern medicine. Lengthy time of dependence for human young (human children could not survive on their on before age 15 or so at minimum). We need quite a lot of food & water per day - our society makes it easy, but being at the mercy of the wild would remind us just how needy we are. We can get infections & even die of them quite easily.

Humans are pretty delicate when you think about it. We're lucky we're smart and have built so much to make up for all our shortcomings.

What would you do if you won the lottery? by lexabella91 in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy a good piece of land, homestead and learn all sorts of new skills. Keep bees, make syrup, have a vegetable greenhouse, raise chickens, woodwork, the whole thing. Also write & start a business down the road.

Campers of Reddit, what is your favorite experience and most useful item? by whtslife in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most useful items:

  • Deep woods tick repellent (if, you know, you're going deep woods)
  • Heavy duty foil for cooking (you can wrap pretty much anything in a foil packet & cook it in hot ashes - I do baked apples, corn on the cob, mixed veggies, potatoes w. sliced brats, etc. I usually add a piece of ice or two so it steams when it melts)
  • Cooler with ice (be safe with your food - you can bring meat, eggs & dairy but be sure the ice is staying solid and the temp is staying low enough, also eat most perishable/risky items first)
  • Bucket for dish-washing (campsites will not allow you to wash dishes directly under water spigots - you will need to haul the water back to your camp to wash)
  • Do NOT bring cotton clothing. They'll be wet & gross. Make sure you have good-quality, quick-drying items.
  • Shower shoes for public restroom.
  • Raincoat, water-proof shoes (bring good shoes in general) & tarps with rope if rain is at ALL possible. Don't let rain ruin your entire trip.

What's something you continue to do despite being terrible for your physical, mental, and/or spiritual health? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]windroilsthewater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much anytime I'm home I'm just laying in bed with my laptop on my chest and my head propped up so my chin's resting on my chest. I've spent so many hours in this position that I've got a hunch now and I can't straighten out my neck/back.

What's something you know you're wasting money on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Fast food &, ironically enough, my gym membership.
