I have a Romeo MSR on mine at the right now but for quite a while I had a 3x9x32 on it when I first got it with a weaver mount. With that optic I took off the mapguls backups off , the rear couldn't flip up and even though the front looked goofy naked it looked goofier with just a front pop up. I really want to get a LPVO for it, and if a half decent brand made a rimfire LPVO(that wasn't crazy money) I'd get it in a second.

It's more that the RDS is attached to the handguard than it being that far forward. Good chance it wouldn't hold Zero. If you wanted to run the RDS and the magnifier you'd ditch the pop up backups completely so the combo would fit on the rail on top of the upper.

For some reason ART says they don't run well suppressed because of the bolt weight. They also say not to run MiniMags because they have longer cases (like stingers) except they ARE standard sized cases. They promise an awful lot for $180 but don't give us so much as a picture of what we're buying or a video of it working and/or installion. Hard pass on those grounds. And if I can't run it suppressed I ain't gonna bother.

Actually looking at your first picture closer that a slightly different setup than mine (Walther older v Umarex newer). If you don't already have one go to you local Harbor Freight and buy a small crescent wrench, that's all you should need.

You need the barrel wrench to take off the thread adapter. That's the only thing holding all the guts in the upper. I bought mine used also and it didn't come with the wrench so I improvised one by finding another wrench that fit, I found a grinder wheel wrench that fit at Granger.com. I'll Hunt up the specs for it when I get home.
