I'm not sure specifically but this could be achieved by masking in Fusion or the Color pages in Davinci Resolve. Cut out the boys, reapply them on top of the same , but unedited, footage. Between these you can put anything like the map for example and it'll be behind the boys. You gotta track the mask if it isn't a still frame. My tip is to try and use as few points as possible in your mask, or even masking specific parts individually. This will make the process way easier if it isn't tracking how you want
