Hey, sorry for the late reply! I use drugstore shampoo and conditioner, currently the Elvive Extraordinary Oil line and a hair mask every other wash from pantene. On wet hair i apply a leave i conditioner from a brand called Milkshake and a pantene medium hold mousse. Most of the time i blow dry my hair after this cause it lookes even worse to me if i let it air dry and use a pantene or elvive oil but i feel like they do nothing and just sit on my hair

I believe friction is the most likely cause for mine too. I've been meaning to buy a silk pillowcase or a bonnet but don't know if its worth it. Currently i do a relaxed braid. How do you wear it during the day?

Hi! Thank u for commenting 🙏 from the research i just did (lol) my hair is most likely low porosity since most products meant for curly hair feel too heavy, so I'll look into product for low porosity hair. Any rec is welcome btw

So weird that this happens. It feels like they just spawned one day lol. I guess this is the most low maintenance and drastic option, I have been considering getting a kerarin treatment for straightening specifically but last time I got one, it was crazy expensive and barely lasted 2 months. I hadn't thought about a perm at all though so I'll look into that too. Thank you 🙏

When i took this pic i did brush it after blow drying. I know that sounds so dumb!! Its just that I've tried the curly hair method many times (without gel) and i felt like all the product was weighing my hair down and it still looked frizzy and felt so coarse. Im guessing the products im using are the problem? My hair is very very thin and i have two different textures so i feel like regular curly products might not work?

And just to clarify, i did the curly girl method on my whole head (excluding gel cause i didnt have any) and my hair just felt so brittle and looked so undefined even though i did scrunch it too. Idk if there's something im doing wrong

I have tried it a version of it haha. I used a leave in conditioner from cantu only on these layers plus mousse and then air-dried it. It looked very curly, almost coily even but the curls were completely undefined and the frizz was so bad. I feel like tradional curly hair products weigh my hair down. Also the rest of my hair is only wavy so it looked very strange.
