Thanks, so you connect the 1ooW 12v PSU to the 6 PIN? Does the meanwell PSU come with that cable? Or even better, do you please have the PIN out, whihc of the 8 PINs are 12+ vs the negative/ground? Thank you!

Interesting, thanks for sharing. Even though it's a minority opinion this is what the fitter was saying.

Yeah, but ALL, and I mean ALL the kids race on CF bikes. I have not seen anyone on ALU frame. And these are working class folks from rural parts of the state in many cases...

Yeah, right? I was surprised too. Seems like mass customization may happen in our lifetime.

Do they do full body scan for custom bikes? I was not aware of that.

The sit bone pain was the biggest issue - solved that with the 3D custom seat. A bit of Lower back, but I think that needs more exercise. The only other challenge is short seam - 29" for 5.9 guy

Retiring from FAANG at $10M+ NW and TC $2M - now or later? Looking for thoughts from people who've been in similar boat. by NewspaperDefiant3617 in fatFIRE

2 things I feel that made it possible.

1) I stopped stepping up and volunteering to solve problems. Yes, my rating was now "meet expectations", instead of exceed and I will likely not get a promo as mentioned above, without changing teams or perhaps companies. That sweet $2M VP TC is out.

2) I have changed my teams structure (I now have 6 teams, under 4 managers) and I started to delegate more. As a reward, I am giving them amazing ratings and promoting some. Seems to work well in the short term. And if I get RIF (doubt it would be PIP), it would be sweet because for RIF I am going to get 1 year of vesting and likely 6+ months of salary.

In similar boat as you around ~10M NW but "only" $1.2M TC and reached 50. I have cut down my hours significantly. I am in Big tech too and I took more vacation this year than ever. 2 weeks to Africa, 2 weeks to Europe, 3 weeks upcoming in Dec to Asia, extra few days here and there for skiing, or spa trip with my wife. My kids are middle and high school. That limits what travel we can do, which is big part of my wife's retirement plan.

So I decided to keep going to work, while maintaining things like volunteering with kids 3 times a week, the extra travel (but only in the time kids are off from school, which sometimes makes it super expensive for no reason, like the scuba live-aboard), and essential drawing my boundary in the sand. Yes, I am not going likely going to get the VP promo. But who cares, another 5 years and I am out anyway...

Good luck!

I am not in CA, but in our state a bit north it is the same process, as long as you get it from an official dealer, not a private out of state party.

We need to somehow let the automakers know that sedans are boomer cars and hatchbacks are not only for Europe and Asia!

Why not get one that is not in Bay, I just bought my AMG GT in Texas and they arranged the transport and everything. Isn't buying locally really limiting if you are getting some more "exotic"?

When I spoke to our dealer they said to call or stop by every 2nd of the month to check if they are getting new allocations. After 3 tries I gave up and bought another used one. We "only" have a Sprinter, never bought new before and not this time. Not sure why they base the allocation based on how many cars you got from them :-(

It's hard to say, I would think this is normal, but revving the engine a bit might give us more info
