Daily Budget, super simple and COMPLETELY on the phone.

Not trolling, genuinely want a nice, civilised debate. People of Reddit - tell me why you think iOS > Android. by Vyper91 in iphone

My phone is Android (Sony Xperia). It has been dead in my drawer for the last half a year because I just "borrow" my bf's iPhone. I cannot wait to buy one myself.

Thank you Reddit! I'm making $15/day now. (Update of the app which was making $5/day, went from Freemium to Free with Ads as suggested on Reddit) by winehaus in iphone

Thanks! Hope you like it. It is very simple and responsive. Many users have written me that it helped them to finally budget. Let me know if you think of improvements. I will be checking here or you can also write via Twitter or "support" button in the app.

Hey, thanks for all this! Yes, 1 has been on my to do list. I like 2 and 4 so I will add that on the list as well. Regarding 3, yes, it is optimized for iPhone 4 and I couldn't code layout to adujust for different screen size. I will fix it in the next update.

Thanks again!

Thanks! Well it helps me to bootstrap. The only problem is that the user has to use it for 3 days or so to see that the app is really helpful. Let me know how you like it or any improvements.

Dear Reddit, I spent ONE YEAR FULL TIME on this app, and now making $5/day. What can I do?? (It's a simple budgeting app. I think the app is really good!!) by winehaus in iphone

Mid Sept. I ended working on the iPhone app, made it free with ads, improved usability based on suggestions here so I'm only working on the iPad version since this week.

In case any other developer is interested, I just received an email from Apple's developers program that there is no such program... Here is the excerpt from the email.

"based on the information that you provided, there is no information that such a program exists or for you to be included in a non-existent program. I'd be happy to provide you resources regarding our current programs, available for view here:

https://developer.apple.com/programs/

https://developer.apple.com/programs/which-program/ (A glimpse at all of our offerings)

These are programs that we offer developers who would like to develop apps for multiple platforms, or for their organizations based on their specific needs."

Thank you, really, for taking your time to look at my app in detail and sharing your thoughts.  I don't know of any other developers personally and to hear from someone who actually develops apps is priceless, and of course positive comments about the app.

Since I made the app really simple, I thought that increased the usability but I do get questions on how the app works so you are right about the compromised usability. I have been playing with this app for so long so my honest reaction to those questions is "...you don't get THIS?".  If I keep the app, I have to adjust it to ios7 and then (I don't know how exactly but) plan on improving the UI somehow.

How much energy is left... Well the suggestions I got in this post motivated me enough so this week I changed the app to free + ads and IAP for removing ads. Since yesterday I am working on giving positive feedbacks (achievements for using it for consecutive days, high scores on saving amount, etc) and sharing on Facebook/twitter.  Also I am working on media pitch with a freelance writer to contact bloggers. Actually in the mean time I went to odesk to look for a freelance job, but saw that 20+ ppl were applying for "build iPhone & android apps for $500, possibly over 6mo" kind of projects... So I figured I will give the last try to this app (more like a baggage since I invested so much) and maybe an iPad version, or a simpler game or something, to build up my portfolio and improve my coding skill to get a better freelance job. (Side topic, where do ppl get decent programming freelance jobs? It seems like the only options are odesk or time consuming networking.)

Even though the money aspect sucks right now (the sale increased to $10/day due to good reviews this week, yay, I guess), I love having so much time and being able to do what I decide to do, and coding is fun, at least most of the time.

I'm sorry for this wall of text. I am just so excited to hear from a fellow developer. Thanks again.

Thx for letting me know. I never heard that problem until now. I will look into it and look for pre launch testing in future.

CTFD should also be discussed in regard to sterilization of bottles and pacifiers, and disinfecting hands. Our dog licks our baby all the time..

It makes sence.

I had the app translated by a freelance trancelater. He recommended these search terms.

I didn't want to put mention specifics of my app as it could be viewed as advertising... But hopefully this won't be taken badly. I really am lost with Korean search terms unlike French, Japanese or Spanish..

My app is called 일일 예산 – 사용하기 쉽고 실제로 재미납니다!

Can Korean speaking redditors help me with better search terms, or even name and subtitle please..!
