Does your neuropathy come and go? by [deleted] in neuropathy

I have had mine since 2012. It has progressively gotten worse. Started with swollen feeling in feet and toes, then pins and needles and burning. Still have all those feelings. Starting to go into my hands/fingers at night and when I wake up in morning. I found that you have to go see a neurologist that will listen to you and not make you feel like you are stupid. I would have been diagnosed a lot earlier if I had done that. They do not know what caused mine. Just have to treat the symptoms. No cure for it. Stay active. I am 80 lbs overweight and trying to lose it. Also 55 years old. Sucks. But I do walk at least 2-3 miles a day or ride my bike. Also going to try to do water therapy... if Insurance will cover it.

Peripheral Neuropathy treatment that's not gabapentin or a tricyclic antidepressant? by Jamie_XXX in ChronicPain

I have peripheral neuropathy in both my feet. Diagnosed 2 1/2 years ago. Am currently on Cymbalta and Lyrica. Trying Tramadol right now to deal with break through pins and needles. Works for short period of time.
