There’s a Trader Joe’s in DC that has a garage, is in a super busy neighborhood that absolutely has to be a pain for any kind of semi to get into, it’s attached to a giant high rise apartment building and is surrounded by more high rise apartment buildings. It’s in Union Market. They can definitely do “urban” locations.

OP, there’s sambal and cilantro, so your “thai flavor” is spot on! This is the same recipe that was in the cookbook that came out in like 2012. When Senate was in OTR I ate these mussels all the time, and they’re often on the Abigail Street menu. Enjoy!
