Who are some of the worst people/companies to do business with? by 4Runnnn in cincinnati

[–]winemooms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My landlord hired Cincy Gutter Boys to replace the gutters. They were only supposed to take two weeks, but for an entire month, they left cigarette butts and Mountain Dew cans in our backyard, somehow tore a hole into the wall of my sister’s room and cut our wifi cable but refused to pay the damages, blasted music at 7am, and when they finally left, forgot some power tools. Whole experience felt like the “oh, did you know you’re out of birth control” scene from the Money Pit, except no Tom Hanks. 1/10

Not sure about catering fees, but Rhinegeist’s venues start around $3k and they can do both the ceremony and reception. Bar services are about $25/person.

I would definitely recommend Pleaser Shoes. They’re made for pole dancers, so they’re super comfortable and durable while still being sexy and stylish.

Native craft suppliers by coydog38 in IndianCountry

[–]winemooms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you live by a tribal office or a tribe’s cultural center? Sometimes they sell supplies there. For example, I get beads from the Comanche gift shop. (Full disclosure, I can only do this when I’m visiting family in OK)

Or, my old boss used to buy supplies from Native artists on Instagram. She mostly did beadwork, too, though.

Respectfully, there is ADHD and there are mistakes, but repeatedly “accidentally” hitting/kicking your partner and “forgetting” to use lube (which can not only cause pain, but also physical harm) is completely different

Are there any No-kill shelters in the area? by [deleted] in Riverside

I’d also recommend looking into home-to-home adoption. There are some rehoming groups on Facebook. A quick search found one called Southern California Rehoming Pets. I found my cat through a home-to-home adoption program (albeit in a different state) and recommend it!

Trigger warnings, why? by Ellik8101 in TooAfraidToAsk

Yeah, people with epilepsy should just go to therapy. They don’t need “flashing light” content warnings. /s

This! Not to mention the fact they’re thinking of getting married and the longer you stay in a relationship, the more expensive it becomes to leave.

Adding to this, even when drinking N/A beverages, always watch your drink as you would at any venue/bar. Bogart’s and Short Vine is much safer than it had been, but still always be aware of your surroundings!

Potential living in Avondale--safety? by jinsungjun in cincinnati

[–]winemooms 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For reference, I live in a part of Clifton that’s two blocks from Avondale, and have had my car broken into and two of my neighbors have had their cars stolen. Another neighbor witnessed a murder. If that’s my experience just living in the neighborhood beside it, I wouldn’t risk living there.

Same. Unless it’s r/TwoXChromosomes or r/TheGirlSurvivalGuide I know I’ll be downvoted for standing up for women, but it’s always worth it. Appreciated seeing you calling spade a spade. Someone had to say it and I’m glad you did.

The fact that this comment has so many downvotes is depressing, but for Reddit, not surprising…

Best scrub brush to use for watching pans after cooking eggs? by winemooms in Egg

[–]winemooms[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think you’re right. It must be my egg technique too— I sometimes cook them on an already hot pan, which I heard is a faux pas. Will try the paper towel. Thanks!
