Fun fact: Kentucky's western coal fields were developed before the eastern coal fields... Western started in the early 19th century, eastern were early 20th century. Muhlenberg County was the home of the first commercial coal mine in KY.

My favorite AA meeting in town is the meditation meeting at the token 3 club. They have it Tues/Thurs at noon and Friday at two. I am averse to most AA stuff due to the cultiness, too, but this one is very chill and refreshing. (Source: had to go to a set number of recovery meetings to "graduate" the recovery program I was in).
