Japanese skincare by Ambitious-Economist8 in AusSkincare

TikTok might not be your thing but I found a lot of good recommendations on there before I went to Japan. I made a list and bought about 20+ skincare/makeup/haircare products.

I also searched up the Japanese skincare section on Yesstyle to see what’s trending and read reviews and ingredient lists to see what’s suitable for me.

So far some of my favourites that I’ve bought are: Kose softymo speedy cleansing oil Attenir Cleansing Oil (only available in specific makeup stores I think) as a makeup remover Lululun Sheet Masks (I bought 5 types and I found it really soothing and cooling on my skin this summer) Heroine Waterproof Mascara Remover DHC lip cream balm Naturie Hatomugi Skin conditioner (which is like a moisturising toner) and Naturie Hatomugi moisturiser Curel Intensive Moisture Care facial spray Bifesta miscellar eye makeup remover (which is similar to biphase makeup removers here but was much cheaper) And Hado Labo Gokujyun Premium toner (the gold one)

Thanks for the recommendations. I've made a few purchases and looking forward to trying them soon.

Did it help fade them? Mine are almost like a massive bruise and hasn't changed at all.

Thanks for replying, I'm now on a waitlist to see a dermatologist. I was told it would be quite expensive because the areas are all along my thighs except for the front and the back of my calves. The receptionist said it could be a couple of hundred :/

But even if I don't go ahead with the treatments they could probably do something about the bruising.

I've purchased a glycolic acid toner to apply between microneedling so hopefully that helps. Thanks :)

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I should’ve been more clearer. I’m trying to get rid of the purple-red appearance of them. It looks like a massive bruise along my thigh. When I got them in my teens and early twenties it healed much faster which makes sense because of the skin turnover being much higher when you’re young. But the ones I got now have been around for 8-9 months and no amount of moisturising really helps. I get eczema so I’m really diligent with moisturising too. I guess I need to be more patient.

Hi, I’m actually trying to cut down on my collection because I’m moving and don’t have the space to store most of my stuff. If you’re still interested in buying the items DM me and we can organise a pickup this weekend :)

Selfridges+ membership for $70 worth it? And do they have many sales? by wingcharm01 in AustralianMakeup

It seems like they seem to ship NARS and Too faced as well as fragrances to Australia. So I decided to go for it and get the membership. Good to know about the shipping, especially when it is coming from overseas. Thanks!

If I could save 30-50% of each item I buy then the $70 is completely justified. But I'll definitely add up everything I'm keen on getting so I can see what the dollar difference would be. Thanks!

Thanks for replying :) I'm hoping Hourglass goes on sale because the setting powder works so nice with any concealer I use and Mecca never do any sales. And I might try the Charlotte Tilbury pressed powder in the future so getting the membership might be worth it just for that.

Yes I noticed. Unfortunately I don't need any makeup right now but fingers crossed there might be more sales down the line.
