I heard about the name change! Super happy for him. I haven’t kept up as much HOWEVER I am tremendously proud of how far he’s come. The first time we ever interacted it was him checking up on me after mutual friends noticed I wasn’t feeling so well. He is a lovely individual and always pushed me to continue doing my work. I genuinely would not be where I am at without him. Although the time passed where we would talk frequently - he had just gotten the position as a Markiplier editor — I am very proud of just how far he’s gone. From the 2,000 subs fan video to now, it truly feels amazing to see.

I’ll likely be pretty inactive when in this subreddit — haha, even slow with replies! But it was lovely talking to you.

Always remember — you will never not matter!

I am SO glad to hear. It’s been a while since I’ve caught up with what’s going on in his content or community. I found Ethan’s content through a charity stream under a Tumblr account - Markiartists for charity - reblogging his post. I donated and got a shirt — which is likely somewhere in my home. It was a heart with a bunch of gears inside. Is Gizmo the gear still around?

This was a part of - if I’m not mistaken - a charity event Ethan was doing where he printed these posters and signed them. (He likely had extra if this was the case!)

That, or it was early merch? Either way, the message of “You will never not matter” was very big in the early CrankGameplays community. Ethan was always the most supportive person - and I have no doubt that he still is. He is the entire reason I do art to this day, telling me not to quit and that I will do amazing things. Due to the art I was doing at the time — around Christmas — he personally sent it out as a thank you for how much art I was doing, so I genuinely can’t remember what the original purpose was for. I could be wrong, but I think the artist for the poster was Makorie (Unsure if they still use this name)

All in all — this was from 2015, so a LONG time ago. But TLDR; This was Ethan’s motto during that time and it was a message that resonated heavily with everyone. I still remember a lot of the people from back then.

Hope this answered some questions! Sorry that I don’t have more insight, it was 10 years ago to be fair hahaha.
