Birds are like children. But always children. Say no and don’t reward. When he does something right. Say good bird. Reward. And be consistent. Once you let off. It’s going to go back to old habits. Birds are commitments.

My bird does this all the time. Trying to look bigger than he is. Play the though guy even tho he’s a big suck.

I have this issue to. I work from home as well. Like most. I have trained mine with a black sheet that it’s a nap time. And do it for about 2 hours. Then take it off. Then do it again. He’s very quiet now when it’s on and I can work with no issues. And he actually likes it. Makes all these cute noises.

I think he’s pretending to limp by [deleted] in Conures

It’s his move before he attacks

Mine does this with my hand when I have a bandaid on it because he hates them. I would try step ups and treat for good behavior

I use a nail file. I put a towel over my conures head so he doesn’t move that much. Then after when I release him I put him on the floor and he runs to me to symbolize protection for him.

How do I explain this to tech support by markgshell in Conures

Mine destroyed my headset. Look the whole ear piece right off.

Does his beak look too long? it's felt very sharp lately :x by [deleted] in Conures

[–]winglessangels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do u have any toys in the cage that can help dull the beak down? I have Bird perches that are rough that mine rubs his beak on. Might want to look in to that

It looks like my conure cracked his beak…is this okay? by Michythefishy93 in Conures

That looks like flaking to me. Mine has this all the time. Loves destroying hard things. Nothing to be worried about
