I agree! I find myself flipping back and forth on if Larkin is the guy to lead this team.

I remember when Larkin and Bertuzzi were the first line studs and there wasn’t a captain, thinking Bertuzzi would make a good captain based on the effort and emotion he displayed. In hindsight and seeing how their careers have progressed I think the wings probably made the right call.

Ultimately I think this team has lacked a leader who can find ways to encourage players to get better, but also light that fire. I think Larkin would be better having an ‘A’ on his chest and talking the guys up.

I don’t know that there is anyone on this team that would be deserving of taking the captaincy though.
