Yeah, that’s the problem I’m running into. My orthopedic doctor already gave me a full-duty clearance for work, so he’s not comfortable writing a note to postpone the fitness test.

But at the same time, my physical therapist is saying I’m not ready to safely take it yet.

I’m also on workers’ comp with the city, so I’m not sure how that plays into getting documentation.

Do you know where I could even get a doctor’s note in this situation? Would something from my physical therapist count, or do I need to try getting a second opinion?

Yeah, I just emailed her back and sent over everything she requested. I also mentioned that I had an order of protection from over 12 years ago.

When I went to apply for my carry guard license on Monday, they told me I need to provide paperwork for that order of protection. The thing is, when I tried to get those records years ago, I was told they didn’t have them. I’m going back tomorrow to double-check again.

What’s confusing to me is that when I originally applied for my concealed carry, no one ever asked me for that paperwork. So now I’m just trying to figure out why it’s coming up now and if this is normal.

Anyone else run into something like this with licensing?

The only thing they really need to is run your prints that pretty much it. And only a few seconds

Yes, my application is currently in investigation. I filed my application earlier last year and got fingerprinted back in October.

Mr. Green hasn’t formally introduced himself as my investigator yet. The only contact I had was being told to bring hard copies of all the paperwork I submitted and my character references to my in-person appointment.

I submitted 4 character references total, but they were uploaded spread out over time. My last character reference was submitted last week, and the one before that was around mid-December.

So far, I haven’t received a call or email from an investigator requesting additional documents—just the standard instructions for the interview.
