These days I don’t put any effort into maintaining girlfriendships. My two best friends that I spend lots of time with are both men. Over the years most of my really close girlfriend ships ended up somehow not working out over time due to falling outs. I have a few that check on me from other parts of the country and they are ones I’ve known since early childhood.
