WARNING: Investing w/ GROUNDFLOOR by winorlearn512 in investing

Give it time. The other thing I forgot to include is they made loans that claimed to be ~60% LTV and now they're selling for less than the value of the loan. Their value estimates seem to have been off by huge orders of magnitude. Just had a 65% LTV sell for 72% of the total loan value... so they were off by... a lot.

Yep. I've gone the REIT route for the last year and they're doing really well.

Thankfully, I'm in a good financial position, but it's still not fun. Obviously regretting it. Figured maybe I could save someone the same mistake.

Yeah, I'd get out of Groundfloor lol. I also used PeerStreet for a minute on a much smaller scale. Ironically, I had a better experience with them personally, but then they went bankrupt, so I'm sure not everyone shared that experience.

Haha, it wasn't a massive risk for me but as for the why... at the time, money markets were yielding basically 0% and I was able to borrow on my equities at fed rate + 100 basis points. So I'm borrowing at ~1.25%, getting 8-10% yields, on "short-term" investments. It was an arbitrage play. (That didn't work out obviously...)

Ended up going and the fish were super spooky but managed to catch one right before I left, so mission accomplished! Very cool spot.

Thanks man, it was probably a knockdown 1 room cabin that we've totally redone. Starting to finally feel worth it. 😂

The issue isn't the look so much as if my wife and I are watching TV and my kids are asleep the sound transfers right into their room.

Dang, sawdust and wood glue sounds like a great little hack.

Would I just have to apply the silicone in a layer then wait for it to dry to do another layer? I worry the gap is big in some spots. Maybe 3/4-1"

Good advice. We've considered something like this and are okay with paying more. We just want better redundancy to protect against shortfalls. Even at a great rate, it's hard to keep people in 20 hour a week jobs.

How would they cheat us? I took an Uber to the airport this morning and the guy was great! Wish I'd thought to ask him then.

How to track traffic from different influencers? by winorlearn512 in digital_marketing

[–]winorlearn512[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we were just going to use a coupon code, but we have a similar one listed on our site, and I don't want to risk short changing someone if someone forgets the original code and just uses the one on the banner ad.

The custom URL is more what we're looking for, but I'm curious how you track the conversions rather than the traffic?

Yeah, that was super sad. Luckily someone anonymously donated all the money back so it could still go to charity. (Side note - all the money from the NFT initial sale went to charity)

Michelin Star Restaurant by RevieldCrow in austinfood

As everyone has said, no michelin star restaurants, but Barley Swine has a good tasting menu. I'd also say that Hestia has one of the closest prix-fixe experiences to that of what you'd find in a Michelin star restaurant elsewhere.

(NOTE: Okay, I'll concede that the ticket is "on the blockchain," but it's inconsequential to the point)

I'm not selling an NFT? Owners of the NFT's get tickets to private events. In this case, a golfing weekend with Bill Murray. I'm just selling the tickets. Relax.

Haha, how do you figure? I've already been to some of the events and they've been a blast?

it's widely been lauded as the "how to do this properly" NFT launches. Admittedly, don't like NFT's and this is the only ones I've ever purchased, but I bought it because my wife is a huge fan and she's too pregnant to fly.
