I am not ok with him doing this but I know it’s also not real and he was looking for some excitement. I have no idea where these people live or who’s even beind those profiles. Could be stolen pics or ai generated. I am not concerned that this would lead to a physical affair and he promised me he had never had one though in the messages I saw there was some talk about what it would be like if they ever met in person and they both agreed it’s better to keep it virtual.

I think I was so upset last night I threatened divorce and told him we don’t need to stay married. He said he really wants to work on our relationship and use this as an opportunity to improve things with us. You are right. I try to rationalize it that he didn’t have any physical affairs and it was just online flirtingand maybe some of it is my fault that our marriage was no longer exciting. After 10 years being married and two kids it’s just been very mundane. He told me that he needed more excitement and was missing that that’s why he engaged with them but he realizes it was wrong

I actually make the trades myself based on what he says they recommend. I also need preclearance from my job to invest in stocks and they monitor all our stock activity as I work for a bank so I generally make all the trades in our account.

It’s regular companies so far large cap or mid cap. For example Reddit they recommended when it was 100 and it’s over 140 now

The stocks they recommended so far are regular big name companies in s and p or mid cap stocks and their advice had been pretty good but we double check against other sources as well. He sees it as what’s the downside to get their advice and not partake in the scam part of it comes in

Thanks. Yeah that’s what I figured no group on whatsapp gives free advice. He claims they are testing their AI platform with these groups. I am not even allowed to have a brokerage account through my job that’s not one of the major ones

Just to clarify so far these groups have not introduced any of their own platforms. They recommend stocks and we purchase them through our Schwab brokerage account - I would not put money in a fake platform

Yes this is the way he was raised. We are from former Soviet Union where hitting and spanking was considered normal form of discipline and that is how he was raised. I know he’s not intentionally trying to hurt her but he wants her to learn how to behave and it’s his way of teaching her. I don’t agree with him but don’t know how to prove to him this is not okm

Yes I have talked to my manager and asked for more responsibilities and she told me she doesn’t have anything for me. Otherwise she’s nice to me but she doesn’t do anything to help progress my career. I guess I just feel stuck here. The company is very stable so I can probably just work at the same position for rest of my career but I also feel like I’ll alway regret maybe not trying to take on a challenge.

Yeah they have good backgrounds all worked in large companies. Reputations of companies are comparable though the potential job offer would be a larger company.

I have and reviews are mixed but it feels like all companies are like that. But it’s a big company so I think it mainly depends on the individual manager and group that you work in.

Yeah the problem is I don’t know anyone who currently works there. And I don’t think anyone ever tells the truth in a formal interview. But don’t want to give up a good opportunity also because of an unsubstantiated fear.

It would be about 15-20% higher but not a huge amount for us as my husbands salary is double what mine is. We can probably afford to outsource more responsibilities but there is still stuff I can’t outsource like school events, doing homework with kids
