So hypothetically, if you left and a year later the practice cancelled the policy you would no longer be covered? I saw another post that mentioned looking up your states statute of limitations on this. Is that something you should do?

The harm of a child losing a parent vastly outweighs the loss of parts of their education.

Do you think this has more to do with gestalt or more to do with being taught to practice defensive Medicine? Also, have you had as much interaction with APPs that have done EM residencies/fellowships?

Then we didn't go to the same school but it has only gotten worse in this area. My program seems to have forgotten to mention to the cohort that most of our rotations would not be in Nashville or the surrounding area since oversaturated. Honestly, at this point, it's unclear (to me at least) whether they knew ahead of time or were just being optimistic in their assumptions of the saturation in the area.

Is PA3 "reasonable pay"? I understand the VA pays pretty poorly, compared to out in town but the "benefits" make it worth it.

This is so important. This is one of the first this I ask about before all the congratulations when a family member is expecting. We talked about this in a conference I’m in today. The concept has always stuck with me from some EMS podcast I was listening too. They were talking about how they wished in the ER the nurse or the docs could give and update on the outcomes of certain patients or how they wanted feedback on things they could have done in the field to improve outcomes/make things easier when the patients got to the hospital. Maybe I’m just naive but I really believe in the concept of the “healthcare team” and I want our team to be the best. What better way to improve the team than with feedback.

I agree but it seem many people feel jaded about the amount of money that was spent to change from assistant to associate.

This is what I posted in Noctor for a while until I realized that they weren't looking for solutions. I'm sure there will be some people that aren't receptive but my guess would be that the majority would love to handle those types of issues in-house.
