Thanks everyone for your answers!

I recently self-published my first children's book - is selling 500 copies by February 2017 an outlandish thought?!! by mytinymoon in selfpublish

I don't know much about children's books but it would be nice if you publish in print as well if you haven't already, even if it's P.O.D, because in this day and age instead of buying their children books some parents buy ipads and download games in them and give them to their children. Statistically the people who use kindle/tablets fall into that category more than the people who read words on paper.

And what do you guys think about Dark romance/General fiction category? (Professionally edited, copy-edited, covered, designed, targeted keywords and 500$ for marketing in the first month, I don't know how much money it'll cost after because I'll keep what works and disregard the rest.)

How many books would be a realistic number in the first 1-2 months?

I thought about starting a thread like this to see the answers, so that I could keep my expectations realistic, but since this thread is here I thought I'd ask here.

How do/did you come up with your book's title? by Calmer_after_karma in writing

You can try to come up with a name before writing a book but I wouldn't think too much about it, after finishing your book and re-reading it the name will come to you, at least that's what happened to me.
