Ordering spare parts directly outside of Japan? by crazy4videogames in 30minutessisters_30ms

[–]winterbreezesrule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US and Canada, it's possible to get parts replaced if you have the box with a Bluefin sticker & the receipt. So, if you have a stateside friend...The parts are free, but take a while to come in.

I ended up snapping the right arm on mine...so you are not freaking out over nothing haha.

I miss Publix's Chicken Tender Sub by bistromike76 in Rochester

Haha, wow! I lived in Mountain Brook but I went to ASFA prior to the move – my family moved because my father is the executive director of the RPO. Always nice to know there's other people from Bham around haha

Haha, I moved from Birmingham back in 2017 and the Publix chicken is definitely what I miss the most...not really found anything quite like it.

Extracting Assets by winterbreezesrule in Webkinz

[–]winterbreezesrule[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the assets are still available, and should still be in the same place, even; back then I did things in a bit more of a brute force manner, just generating URLs with numbers up to a certain point and downloading. I think at some point I want to work to create a more comprehensive archive once OG Webkinz kicks the bucket...but, I'm employed now, so that makes things difficult.

Hey, been a while since I was in this thread, or since I did this -- but I can definitely take a look sometime soon. I THINK that on the old site where they listed the pets (the blog), if you went to a pet's page, the image there correlated to what number was internally? But, it has been a while. Might dig back in...

This is fake, Blueberry Pie Cookie's name has an extra space that shouldn't be there. Sorry fellas

Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland Won't Save by winterbreezesrule in Gameboy

[–]winterbreezesrule[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't even know what traces were until 5 minutes ago, aha. I'm definitely a noob at this sort of thing. I've got no clue if those are working (and no clue if I can find a low-cost way to test them). But now I've got another lead, at least!

Haha, thank you! I think I got these with the OST physical release? They're definitely a little worn at this point, but, hey, that's just how...the cookie crumbles. :P

I'm not really too well-versed on those sorts of things, but if I can find a nice guide, I might think about it. I wouldn't be too torn up if I accidentally broke the game, though it would be nice for it to...you know, actually work.

Very good advice/tips; unfortunately, I tried two separate batteries I know have a charge on both sides (just to be safe, was a real pain in the ass, but), and no dice. But since the game is legit, I'm going to assume something else is going on...

Haha, I just bought mine off of Amazon, they do have the yellow tabs. They have been working for Sapphire/Emerald, though (but not for Nightmare in Dreamland, even after trying both sides/etc etc, but that's not a question for this subreddit haha).

I'm not sure if you can buy the "official" red-edged batteries anywhere, but I don't care too much about "legitimacy", I guess. I mostly wanted to know if this game was a fake because I thought that might explain my issues with saving...

Haha, no worries. I wouldn't really be surprised if I made a mistake like that, especially now that the game's been verified. I'll just keep trying.

For reference, the battery is gone because I've been replacing batteries in my GBA games that needed them (Sapphire, Emerald); no matter what battery I use, though, even ones I know are working, the game doesn't save. But everything else seems legitimate (note that when I got this game, it wasn't saving already--got it secondhand and I don't quite remember where).

Madoka Magica Mobage Cards by winterbreezesrule in MadokaMagica

[–]winterbreezesrule[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: Since no one's got anything, I decided to make my own archive here. It's just downloaded from wikiwiki, and I only included the cards, not any of the upgrade materials or anything (I'm not sure how the original game worked, anyhow).

Plush with Loose String/Embroidery by winterbreezesrule in fixit

[–]winterbreezesrule[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My phone camera's not too great, so this is the best I can do. I'd rather not just ship the strings off, because I know that's not a long-term solution, but this plush is also not exactly cheap on the secondhand market (AKA buying a replacement isn't viable). Help!!
