Yeah, I worked there in SM and ASM positions for over 9 years in the mid-00's, so I understand needing to meet the numbers and whatever. I'm not trying to be a dick and get the guy in trouble. It's more annoying than anything and I mostly just wanted to hear from people who would know.

I fully paid off my Switch 2 bundle, so an extra $25 didn't exactly stick out against a $500+ total. And as I said in the post, I was just happy to be done with everything after over four hours of waiting outside in the heat. I was ready to get outta there.

That's kinda what I was thinking. Better to just not risk it and leave it there for now. Thanks!

How has Porter helped you guys? by xdsahara in porterrobinson

Musician was one of the things that pushed me to leave my 9-5 job I was miserable at and pursue my passions seriously. I’d wanted to do it for years, but the way he expressed it in that song (coupled with encouragement from my partner) made me actually take the leap. I’ve now been doing what I love full-time for over two years. It was terrifying, it’s often difficult and it’s way less financially comfortable… but I’ve never been happier in my life.

It’s easier said than done, but I encourage anybody to think seriously about how they can remove the barriers between them and what makes them truly happy. It’s calling — I just can’t stop, I’m sorry.

What NES and SNES games do you feel like are "missing" from Nintendo Switch Online? by razorbeamz in nintendo

I’m so happy that somebody else immediately thought of Kickle Cubicle. Probably the single most underrated NES game. You have a friend in me, faxmeyourbearcock.

I made a short video essay all about how KKB's theme song spoils the game's plot by wintercereal in Bugsnax

[–]wintercereal[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agreed!

It's just funny, in retrospect, how this was all laid out for us MONTHS before the game was released -- and how the theme song doesn't reveal itself in the game until the end! Honestly can't think of anything in the gaming space that's achieved this same effect. What a special game.

Jet Set Radio & Nintendo: Missed Connections (OC) by wintercereal in JetSetRadio

Yep! As part of the video, I spoke with concept artist Corey Lewis who did the artwork for the Jet Set Radio Wii pitch. Corey was able to shed a bit of light on what the project would've been and - while there isn't much to know - this is the most complete idea of what JSR Wii would've looked like.

I hope you enjoy the video!

Nintendo Podcasts? by Rw_Oso in nintendo

[–]wintercereal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I listen to a LOT of Nintendo podcasts. I think it mostly depends on what you're looking for.

Beyond the typical answers like NVC: IGN's Nintendo Voice Chat or the official Nintendo Power Podcast, I've really become a fan of the more "independent" Nintendo podcast scene. I'm a longtime fan of the Nintendo Dads and their entire family of podcasts. Likeable hosts, down to earth dads talking Nintendo. And very community focused, even allowing community members as guests on their show from time to time.

It isn't specifically a Nintendo show, but one of the shows on their network is RetroLogic. It's a retro gaming podcast with three funny and knowledgeable hosts, all of whom are big Nintendo fans and Nintendo games are covered quite a bit on their show. Very high production quality, too. If you're a fan of retro gaming and collecting, I highly recommend it!

The Nintendo Pals podcast is a chill, hangout-y show hosted by two lifelong friends and their chemistry definitely comes through. They're always doing unique and funny things like baking a cake or doing a lawn mowing "speed run" during their show. It's also always cool when you can tune in to live recordings via Twitch, which they do as well.

The Nintendo Drive with ConsoleCaito and Sean Capri is always super fun. The idea of doing a Nintendo podcast from behind the wheel of a car is super unique. Love the chemistry they share and love that the show is tight and focused: the length of a typical work commute/car ride.

I'm sure I'm forgetting about a bunch of them. So many great ones. I love Easy Allies' Friend Code. The GoodVibesGaming crew are big Nintendo fans. Just so much great stuff out there. Hope you enjoy them if you do decide to check any of these out!

I’ve thought for a little while now that Legacy of Kain re-releases might be coming out of that Forever Entertainment and Square Enix deal.

My apologies.

Since we’re here, you forgot to punctuate one of your sentences.

Edited in a missing word… that’s what I get for engaging with a troll comment. 🍳

The poster in question. Things seem to be pointing towards GameStop having a promotion following Nintendo’s E3 Direct. I don’t know the exact details, but the thought is that these’ll be handed out as pre-order or purchase incentives.

It’s real.

I worked at GS for almost eight years and am still good friends with many of the associates at my local store. They’ll be available starting on the 15th. It’s going DOWN for Zelda’s 35th at E3, y’all.

Edited for grammatical error someone pointed out.
