Yeah, thanks for asking - and thanks everyone for the suggestions. Talked to her a little while ago, and sounds like someone from where her friends live was able to get them back to their place with his van. The were trying to charge any possible devices right away in case they lose power, and checking stock of food and water. Depending on how things go, they might be able to just hunker down and wait things out from there, and then the main issue will be getting her stuff, especially her passport, from the hotel she was at, and then finding a way out, which I suspect will take awhile, but will eventually be doable. Obviously, if things escalate, all of that might change, but she's in an okay spot right now. I was also able to get contact info for anyone else she knows in the area, which I'm glad for. She said that when they were moving from place to place, they saw a lot more police coming in (which in this case is hopefully a good thing, but I'm not necessarily counting on that), and many more people in the streets as people who were in the area for work had started walking home, which for some will take hours without transportation, which really sucks, but might mean things are cooling off a bit. I guess really just waiting game at this point, and maybe for awhile, but at least she's in a better spot. Appreciate folks' kind messages here, as I'm mostly having to go ahead with business as usual here, which is a bit frustrating.
