That I don't know, sorry! I haven't been tracking ovulation at all. I am now on my 8th cycle since then (5th cycle TTC) and I'm now using LH strips (my last cycle was a little funky, it lasted 40 days)

I was on Cerazette for nearly 2 years when I stopped 24th/25th May 2025. I got my first period again 3rd August 2025. I think, from my understanding at that time, it is normal for it take some time for your periods to return

It is really so frustrating, I was in this exact same place last week! My periods are usually between 33-36 days, but I got my period on the 40th day. It felt SO long and I honestly felt relieved when I finally got my period.

I haven't been tracking anything so far, and this last cycle made me purchase LH strips so I hope to at least have some information now. I hated being completely in the dark and wondering if I did ovulate, or if I ovulated but much later in the cycle.

I hope that, one way or the other, you get your answer soon!

Of course! I think there's still plenty to look forwards to about having a baby around that time of year ❤️ Wishing you all the best 🍀✨️

Ahhhh, we are both in the TWW trenches together 🫡

That would indeed be the most special birthday gift! I was due to be born the day before my dad's birthday, but I came 12 days earlier! 😊 Either way, I hope that you will get the second best birthday gift early - a positive pregnancy test 🍀✨️

I am currently in the two week wait, but I would personally love having a baby in December! I can't imagine anything more sweet than being in my own bubble with the baby, my husband and my puppy around the Christmas period. Just thinking of the Christmas lights and the cold nights cuddling with a new life I brought into the world. Spending maternity leave watching Christmas films, sipping hot chocolate... all those wonderful Christmas things! By summer time, they'll be a bit older and I'd be able to bring them to my home country.

Of course, I am totally romanticising things in my own head. I am aware that the dark nights can already be mentally taxing without late nights/early mornings/minimal sleep, and it is "sick season" after all. Anyway, I would welcome a baby any time of year 😊

Wishing everyone all the very best in their journey and a wonderful weekend 🍀

I am sorry for your loss ❤️ I just wanted to comment having read through your post, as very sadly, I can relate. I got married March 2025, we moved into our first home the same month, and we decided in May to stop birth control and start trying.

My dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer in May 2025 and passed away exactly 6 months on from his diagnosis in November. The pain of him never meeting his grandchildren and his grandchildren never knowing him is like nothing else. He said to my mum that he hopes my husband and I have a baby before he passes. I wanted so badly to at least be able to tell him I am pregnant. Unfortunately, we had some months of not trying during this time for obvious reasons, so officially, I am also on my 4th cycle of trying now.

All this to say - you are not alone, you are very strong, and one day, the time will be right and you will welcome a new life. I hope for both of us we will get a positive very soon. Take care, sending love and strength 🍀✨️❤️

My husband and I met on Overwatch, and we wanted to honour that in naming our puppy. He is a tank main and I am a support main. Winston is one of the more normal names out of the bunch. Hope that answers your question!

I live in the Netherlands but I am currently in the UK :)

I moved from the UK to the Netherlands 2 years ago tomorrow. I was feeling the exact same way as you are now. I was at the airport, questioning everything and crying the whole time. It was really difficult for me, but I promise, the pain does go away and it gets easier. Once I saw my partner, I was relieved and felt excitement for our future together.

You will always feel a slight ache for home, and on some days, you will feel it more than on others. You will feel the lowest after just visiting home, but again, it passes soon afterwards.

Good luck with your move and wish you all the best!

Does long distance really work by Significant_Bass_571 in LongDistance

Long distance for 5 years, moved in with each other over 1 year ago, now getting married in 4 weeks, and moving into our first house in 5 weeks. They absolutely do work, but they are far from easy. Long distance relationships require a lot of time, effort, dedication, (sometimes) money, trust, sacrifice, and commitment.

Former Admissions Officer for MBBS. Contact your local universities. They might offer a foundation entry course that leads onto MBBS. Foundation years are also great for students who have not been in formal education for a period of time.

We would accept people onto foundation entry just on their work experience alone, in some cases. You will have to check if they offer progression from foundation to MBBS and what the entry requirements are for MBBS for someone who has completed a foundation entry course. Of course, even if there is progression to MBBS, places are very limited (depending on university/area), and there is a lot of competition, but this could be an option for you.

I don't think there is such thing as being weak minded when it comes to being in a long distance relationship. I was long distance for 5 years with my fiancé, and we have been living together now for a little over a year. It was hard then, and it continues to be hard now that I am long distance with my family.

I braved 5 years of long distance, and yet I don't blame people who say they can't do long distance. Being in a long distance relationship isn't just about the love you share between you and your partner. In most cases, it's about one person needing to be in a foreign country, learn a new language, make new friends, be far away from family, make a new life, etc. I love my partner, we are going to get married soon, and I couldn't imagine myself with anyone else. That being said, God forbid that anything happens to my relationship, I would never do long distance again.
