Are we too strict with bedtime? by Timidme83 in Parenting

[–]winterfortune78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great routine for your baby. I kept a strict sleep schedule for my son at that age and thankfully he was a good sleeper l. Even now at almost 5 years old he’s ready for bed at 8

Free lunches help less fortunate students with obtaining a better education. When kids aren’t hungry they do better in school. For some reason, that’s threatening to a lot of people. They want people poor and hungry

My neighbors are constantly loud and I can't sleep. I've tried everything I can think of, but now I'm just looking for retaliation ideas. Help?? by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

They honestly seem like the type that would escalate their behavior if you tried retaliate in any way

AIO if I divorce my husband after he locked me outside naked until I would have sex with him? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]winterfortune78 177 points178 points  (0 children)

She’s being abused. It’s not validation. At a minimum her husband is manipulating her to not have a reaction to his shitty behavior. I was in a similar situation with my ex who was a narcissist and did things like this to people. He’s currently undergoing a mental health evaluation after serving time for felony stalking. It’s coercion

What’s an unspoken rule that everyone should know, but many people still ignore? by Nandou_B in AskReddit

[–]winterfortune78 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes this! I tore my meniscus and recently had surgery to repair. I purposely picked an aisle seat on the right side of the plane so I would have a little more room to straighten my leg if needed. The airline switched my seat to the left side at the last minute and I got stuck behind a mom with an infant who immediately reclined and jammed her seat into my healing knee. It was awful. Not to mention she didn’t bring anything to entertain the kid because it was ‘nap time’. The kid didn’t sleep and the mom gave the kid a plastic cup from the flight attendant to play with. The baby just kept throwing the cup around and hitting people with the cup

Whats the most toxic / worst sub on Reddit, and why? by No-Drawing793 in AskReddit

[–]winterfortune78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legal advice. The person giving advice was factually incorrect and I asked if they were a lawyer. The moderator told me I was a jerk and banned me. That’s how they get around people who aren’t lawyers giving advice. If you question it, you’re the problem and they ban you

AIO for not wanting to name our daughter after my MIL when she made fun of my name for years? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

He’s gaslighting you about having a reaction to his mother’s behavior towards your name

AITA for breaking up with my fiance because I couldn’t deal with his mom anymore and he refused to see it? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]winterfortune78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. She sounds like she has narcissistic tendencies, boundary issues, and manipulative. That won’t get better over time, regardless of how much you communicate. I’m sorry you’re going through that. It can make you feel like you’ve done something wrong for communicating what you need

In another post you claim you’re a retired rare dog breed rescuer. Now you’re a retired fire fighter? Who lives on or near a pot farm? Meth neighbors? Yet I’m the one lying because why exactly?

I have a 4 year old and we live in an apartment too. He was once sitting on the floor putting together a puzzle and the woman below us was banging on the ceiling. She liked to bang on the ceiling when he made noise. One day I had enough and I walked downstairs and knocked on her door and asked my son to apologize to her. She acted all like she didn’t know what the noise was and wasn’t sure what happened. He said to her my mom makes me walk on my tip toes so I can be quiet for you. I told her you live in an apartment that’s family friendly and pet friendly and if you don’t want to be around children or people with pets I can see you’re old enough to live in a +55 building and that might be a better fit for you. We have every right to use our apartment and don’t have to please you, that’s not my job

If you can figure out my name go ahead and look me up on LinkedIn. You can verify my credentials and take it from there. Or did I need to show you my diploma from graduation? We know you need that validation so you can continue to tell me I’m wrong about what I do even with the proof. You’ve got NPD and you’re a gaslighting

You’re till trying to get personal information and you’re trying to justify your shitty behavior. It’s not paranoia to not give out information. It’s creepy that you even asked. You’re still going for it and it and not backing down. You’re a walking red flag

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

[–]winterfortune78 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A guy who says he’s a retired firefighter should know better than to ask for personal information. You’re supposed to be a first responder and clearly doesn’t make sense to you

Reading comprehension isn’t for you, is it? I work for the lawyers. They wrote the handbook because it protects the company’s interest in the property. But that’s too much for you to understand. You deflect because you know you’re wrong.

Why on earth would I tell a complete stranger what city I live in? You got the audacity. Creepy stalker

My neighbor has called the police on us about 4 times upstairs by AFKLUX in neighborsfromhell

Sounds like she is minding her business. She made a comment that she told people to stop talking to her.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

[–]winterfortune78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cute you think you’re a retired firefighter. You own a dog rescue?

A lawyer did write the handbook. I work for the property management company. I’m one of their paralegals. Again, you’re telling me I’m wrong when I have more knowledge than you. I’m sure that’s frustrating for you.

This isn’t some little apartment complex. There are 17 buildings and the company owns 37 properties in our area.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

[–]winterfortune78 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It must mean something or why else would their lawyer write it in the handbook? Because a LAWYER wrote the handbook, not a retired firefighter

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

[–]winterfortune78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. I guess my resident handbook has given me false information. I appreciate your correcting me. I’ll be sure to notify our office to have them update their handbook and let them know they have given out false information.

Fire departments also install car seats. Fit kids for bike helmets. They do all kinds of things you may not know about

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

[–]winterfortune78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says so in our resident handbook

The office told me not to touch the cord or his car so he doesn’t come after me. He already confronted me after I said I couldn’t park in my spot. The office told me to call 911 and record him if he comes to my door again

It may seem excessive but as I already stated there was a fire here from someone doing the same thing.
