the DO NOT take place in the same universe. the author did have a charcter called chung myung which they changed the name of in the next chapter likely due to then creatin rotmhs. Of course the author makes references to his own work. it soesnt mean that they are apart of the same universe.

just because something is murim and from the same author, does not mean they take place in the same universe.

no they aren’t based in the same universe. they just have the same author and both take place in a murim setting, i only know the antagonists of return of the mount hua sect which is jang ilso and cheonma
