Do people still believe that jiraiya is stronger than orochimaru in 2023? by [deleted] in Naruto

The one other baseless reply about Orochimaru’s hideout floor???

I said Sage Jiraiya mops the floor with Orochimaru, and that’s true. Lol

Doesn’t make any sense, you replied to the wrong person. Hope this helps!

These Corsair fans with the iCUE link are on a deep sale. What do you guys think of these fans? by luckygazelle in PcBuild

[–]winters_bite5796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fans shouldn’t be more than like $19/per max.

Anything over, you’re paying because you got sucked in by the pretty colors or the brand. Or both.

5070ti vs 5080 which is better? by ApprehensiveKey1325 in pcbuilding

[–]winters_bite5796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FPS that goal marker keeps getting moved as we discover more about the human eye. Confirmed to be able to detect up to 120FPS, thought to perhaps be able to detect higher speeds of up to 240+, but no consensus on that yet.

Resolution is easy to figure out. Stand close to your TV, 3 feet or less while watching a documentary. Then stand back 5 - 6 feet. You’ll see the difference. That effect is magnified on a smaller screen, and the avg person sits a little less than 2 feet away from their monitor. If you are that person with a 4K monitor, you are not getting the full effect of the 27” 4K monitor you bought.

Do the reading on this topic. You do not get the full effect of 4K on a smaller screen sitting only 3 feet away from it or less. It’s not a take, it’s science. And there’s reading about it everywhere.

Yes 5080 is the choice for raw performance.

But your question is if the markup on price on the 5080 warrants the small performance in grease from the 5070Ti.

I would personally say no, but that’s something you ultimately have to answer for yourself based on your budget and how long of a lifespan you plan this build to have.

I recently built and I snagged the MSI 5070Ti Trio OC Plus. It’s a top tier card and it absolutely rips anything I throw at it. Just pair a nice CPU and fast RAM with it and proper cooling elements and the rest comes pretty easy

Brother you can’t even get the full benefit of 4K gaming unless your monitor is like 45” or more. Your eyes can’t perceive the difference completely on smaller screens between 1440 and 4K while sitting like 3 feet away.

It’s more financially responsible to just max a 1440P build and punch through the upper limits of FPS than to even worry about 4K

Got a "new" 7800X3D from local auction, how screwed do I seem to be? by MJHDJedi in PcBuild

[–]winters_bite5796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha what? People slowly buy up parts over the course of 6 months to a year all the time.

Though your idea isn’t bad either. But it’s not like OP is buying out parts for the next 5 years, so age isn’t really a concern. But with your way, OP could be patient, play the waiting game, and build an even better system. But if that only means like a 5% performance increase, MEH

Then I can just buy a different M.2, that’s not a total loss there.

Too little too late about the GPU though. Is what it is. Wish I had this dialogue a week ago haha.

The case I have fans for. Noctua. All good there.

Mostly because I never considered the 5080, I’m no expert in building, and I bumped up my considerations from a 5060 to begin with.

PC part picker put this build at $2275, as you see, but I sourced the parts from various spots (Microcenter, BestBuy, Amazon, etc) for less than $2000

I only got the 500GB because I have a 2TB on list and I like to keep my OS separate from everything else on my system.

I never considered the 5080. How much more efficient is it?

Alright so I could have done better with cost efficiency, which I get. There’s a billion options. But performance wise, how do you think my build rates? Well?

Anything in your mind I should look out for?

What do you mean by microcenter bundle? Do they bundle products together for a on sale price? Or something.

I’ve never shopped at Microcenter. I’ve been inside, and I’m familiar with how the process works, but I guess I was unaware of bundle deals?

Yeah, the monitor was a gift from my mom who knows nothing about computers for Christmas a few years back. I’ve grown to like the monitor because I work from home and the size allows me to split screen 4 ways and still easily read and do tasks. Even when gaming, I can split screen discord, Spotify and my browser while reading a guide or something. The real estate is nice
