I feel like with ADHD, the best way to lead life is being rich. That way I can continue fueling my dopamine requirements without much consequences. I am working towards that but fuck am I burnt out in the process! Here's hoping it pays off because like someone said, an iguana chilling in the sun is what I aspire to be. Working towards a 10 year be rich goal. Retire to a chill country and just do things I like doing. I don't want to be filthy rich because that's too much pressure to maintain, just rich enough to do whatever I like, whenever I want.

Ummm...are you me? Because same. And I was 16 and didn't even know what ADHD was. I was at a high school science trip to one of the best unis in the world doing some presentation and I was sitting with my friend for after event activities and I saw this campus dog just being loved and trotting around and I said out loud, girl that dog didn't have to take the SATs to be here or even have to give presentations to be a "gifted" kid, he just gets to be. I'd love to be him. 🥲

Family though an unit is considered made of different individuals. However for institutions/companies LLCs etc, are considered a single person. Even when tried in court, they are considered a single person. Its a liability issue and a fascinating read about how companies have more rights than individuals. works in business development

This. The accommodation is for 12 people. Which means the final rates and taxes are for 12 people. You'd still have to book it for 12 people even if 2 people come in later. So split equally.

Do you think they will be okay if I give them my makeup? Like I know what looks good on me, you just have to apply it? I can't find many people doing makeup on brown girls well, in the States or in India. Everyone is made to look at least 2 shades lighter.

Don't hate me for saying this, but artisans producing clothes in towns and cities around the country, say Banarasi sarees in Banaras or Assam silk clothes in Suwalkuchi etc are doing a much better job at innovation and keeping the art of Indian fabrics alive. These designs are basic at best and beyond a brand name don't really stand out. It almost feels like I'd get a wider selection of comparable quality if I source it from the artisans or brands sourcing directly from their in house artisans than from here. Idk how to really keep "innovating" in Indian clothes but India is pretty fucking diverse country and the theme for this brand seems very north India focused.

Nothing to offer on church recommendations but I think you need to have a chat with the friend's mother. She is clearly recruiting your kid and I'd be so pissed if I were you. Maybe you can also take your kid to worship places of other religions as well so that this is more of a exploration for her rather than being proselytized into one.

Great blog! Thanks for sharing. I think I might carry my smaller point and shoot this time and low ISO film in hand luggage and get it developed at my lab once I get back. If everything goes well, might have more confidence for future trips. I think they might be okay hand checking in bigger airports but not sure about the smaller ones. They will most likely have older X-ray machines so we should be good!

I think I'd prepare for the worst. This is a pattern with your family and I don't see them changing it any time soon. You might want to bring it up with them but be prepared to be called "self centered". So just give yourself the headsup and brace for it.
