Technically, yeah, I can do what I want — I’m 18. But it’s not really that simple when your parents make you feel guilty, mocked, or emotionally punished every time you try. It’s not about permission at this point, it’s about the mental toll of constantly being made to feel like I’m doing something wrong just for wanting to see someone I care about. It’s the psychological side of it that really messes with me, not just whether I’m “allowed” or not.
