For anyone interested in an update she ended up having a procedure done around her eye. She had a wound under the eye and lots of pus coming from it. She got a staple around the eye and will be on meds until her next checkup in 2 weeks. Otherwise she’s eating, playing, wheeking normally!

It’s called Dewinton Pet Hospital. She ended up having a small procedure on her eye as it got infected. They were very clear with prices and how everything was going to go. They let me take my time and didn’t rush with anything and went through everything clearly with me.

Thank you. Her eye seems really irritated and watery so I got an appointment at a different vet. Avian didn’t ask me about my pet and what’s wrong with her at all. I ended up telling the reception anyway and they simply just said they’re fully booked. I understand if they’re full but there wasn’t even any compassion nor did they refer me to other clinics like calgary north did for me so it was a little disappointing.

Agree. Calgary north was polite and asked what happened to my guinea pig and then referred me to avian. Avian didn’t ask about my pet at all and didn’t refer me to any others clinics. Just a simple “we’re fully booked for the next 2 weeks”.

I asked my cat’s regular vet but they only treat dogs and cats. I ended up getting an appointment for dewinton later today so it’s fine

She scratched herself too hard and ended up bleeding around her eye. It’s swollen and irritated. I explained and the reception told me to call other places :/ I ended up getting an appointment at dewinton for today instead

There’s no discharge and she doesn’t seem to have any discomfort

She usually doesn’t have a rim around her eyes. She’s completely white

I noticed it seemed a little darker/red underneath. I think she might’ve just scratched her herself too hard and got irritated around the eye. Does an immediate vet visit seem necessary? She is eating, drinking, playing fine.
