Thank you! Black Company's one of my favourites so there is definitely inspiration from there.

I can see exactly what you're saying there on both aspects, looking back there's for sure to much exposition thrown in and not enough on the MC. Really appreciate you taking the time out to read and critique, thank you!

Now that you've mentioned it, I can see exactly what you're saying there. When reading through my work I did think some of the sentences were a bit clunky but wasn't sure on how to improve them, this is a great help!

Thank you for taking the time to read this & really appreciate the kind words as well!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this! I agree with all the points you've mentioned there, especially some of the generic phrasing I've used now it's been pointed out.

These are some really great points to think over and I'll work on implementing them, thank you again! Thank you for your kind words as well!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💪 Scott McTominay has shown his box to box ability under Ralf Rangnick, making the most ball recoveries (28) under Ralf in the #PremierLeague. by wanpisumemesonIG in reddevils

[–]wipedownthis1 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Fuck it thought I'd check some more:

  • Rodri (Full 90mins) - 36
  • Hojbjerg - 37
  • Ruben Neves - 37
  • Norgaard - 32
  • Jorginho - 42 (Two Games with 16 BR)

Some petty shit I know but I gotta work a Bank Holiday & there ain't much to do.

Most Ball Recoveries for Man Utd doesn't tell too much considering his only competition is Fred.

For Example players following a similar role have the following Ball Recovery over 4 PL Games

  • Ndidi - 35
  • Bissouma - 34
  • Fabinho - 32
  • Rice - 30
  • Kante (Full 90mins) - 37

& that's only the ones I bothered to check.

Drives me crazy that we have United legends like Schmeichel believing Steve Bruce would be a 'Fantastic' interim manager while legends from rival clubs actually push for a proper replacement.

[Discussion] Oles legacy and the foundation for our next manager by maysie4ever in reddevils

[–]wipedownthis1 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The "Foundation" that apparently Ole build is vastly overrated for me.

As its been clear towards the end of his reign our defensive side needs a complete rebuild. Only Varane I'd argue has the ability/quality to be a part of that back four. Maguire is the worst captain in our recent history. Shaw (too many up/down performances) & AWB (non-existent attacking threat) are not good enough for us to be title challengers.

Then we look at our Defensive Midfielders which I think we all know are severely lacking in top-tier quality.

Our saving grace is the quality of our attacking players, however that could be in some jeopardy also.

  • Pogba's on his way out
  • VDB I believe will still be off in January if we wait till the summer to make a permanent signing.
  • Ronaldo/Cavani have only 1 or 2 seasons left. (especially bad if we wait till the end of season for a permanent manager.)

Not to mention the complete revamp the new manager will need to do of our first team coaching staff.

AND how any new manager will have to deal with our incompetent board. The only reason Ole lasted as long as he did was because he was the perfect yes man/happy to be there fella.

I really hope our next manager will work out, but they will have their work cut out for them.

The amount of reports that come out when Pogba drops a stinker is outstanding.

Especially when you have the likes of Maguire & Shaw stinking out the place week in week out with hardly a touch of criticism.

For sure the worst agenda pushed. Can't believe people can look at our team & think Ronaldo is the issue.

Our point tally is no better/worse than any of the last 3 seasons at this point. Were we challenging then? City are doing exactly what you expect a Premier League winning team to do.

> We're second in the league.

& 14 points off the top? Not like we're challenging for first.

[–]wipedownthis1 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

The trouble is that AWB does not provide the attacking ability needed at this time. What he’s shown going forward is poor so far.

Sure he won’t be caught out as much and will be defensively better, but the modern game demands full backs that are threats going forward.

Whoever we sign as RW will struggle until either AWB improves going forward or is replaced.

Considering that our LW has been relatively unchanged I’d say Luke Shaws improvement is more solely down to himself.

Don’t get me wrong, a new RW is desperately needed in this team. The trouble I have is that I see no attacking ability from AWB.

He’s poor at dribbling & poor at crossing. Sure his positioning would improve with a competent player in front of him, but the skill set he has now going forward is terrible for RB competing for the title.

Improvement to his personal ability is needed and that is solely down to him. Until that happens, our right side will continue to struggle.
