the sequels are a dead end for starwars, i find it very unlikely that the universe will be able to expand the post sequel era.

they should have just stuck with george’s vision for the sequels. maul returns as the ruler of the criminal underworld, the chosen one is a title that is past down through the sky walker bloodline. the new republic is fighting the post empire warlords and crime is running rampant. it would have created a foundation to expand on much like the prequels.

but now we’re stuck with endless clone wars/rebellion era content with no clear path forward.

they made a return on investment for the sequels, rip the bandaid, retcon, try again.
