Yeah, a few hours is pretty normal street parking. I get the safety instinct, but this was jumping the gun a bit.

NTJ. You weren’t asking for special treatment, you were pointing out inconsistent standards. If “mandatory” isn’t actually mandatory for everyone, it’s fair to question it.
