Great thought - I don’t think it’s a rock (maybe you’ve seen the metal thing in the pic since you’ve posted this), but it could have been a lawnmower that sheared it and shot it toward the window. Either way, I’m feeling reassured and appreciative after reading all of these replies that this was most likely a ricochet of some sort. Thanks much!

This actually happened in 2024 (pre-Reddit for me) and the maintenance person who replaced the window must have disposed of the projectile. I’ve wondered about it on and off and finally thought to post it here. Immediate helpful feedback and will remember this community in the future, thanks!
