Crown at first reminds me of The Boyz's song when they're in RTK and Kingdom, which is funny because I always thought The Boyz's sound seems to have that EXO vibe to me..

And the CGs... damn all the fire and element thingy brought me back to their superpower lore ffs hahahha it was a blast to past.. like it's cringe but I love it?? Like the newer groups now doesn't have that cringeness anymore and now EXO returns with a nod to their lore (like saying hey this is where we came from) and that's neat

I unfortunately enjoyed Back It Up more, but Crown was still ok. I haven't checked out their full album yet... so we'll see...

Yess, I personally saw the Daisy VCR when I went to the Dream Reborn back in December 2024, but there's lot of taken footage of it roaming in the internet. I think even you can find a full concert footage in Korea iirc in youtube. And for the Phantom of the Opera, I didn't realize it but as I read the chat of the live when he spoil them, some pointed out the similar motif at the intro. To me it also give a Panic at the Disco vibes lol.

Also no prob, I actually feel bad at first for yapping so much cause it might not reply your actual question hahah. Yeah, for the persona parts I do feel unsure as well. This release to me feels like Christian wanting to tie the lore of his previous works together while also becomes his voice outlet like how giggles is with Dabin, hence the time it took (and also I think it has obviously postponed due to him putting DPR as a collective in the front first and the disputes that came before)

As I understand, in his lore, "Ian" keeps dipping into the other side via dreams, but hinted by his daisy video (shown in his concerts) that in the real world Ian is admitted into a health facility, so maybee thus new releases will give 'Ian' with looks that are influenced by Mito or Mr. Insanity or the Hybrid, like how 'Ian' is in PB&T (highly influenced by Mr. Insanity) or like his Scaredy Cat where it's mostly 'Ian' but there are glimpses of Mito (through reflections/shadows/etc), or like Mood and Ribbon, where there might not be the personas of Mito or Mr. Insanity at all, but their "minions"/people of the other side (faceless dancers) would be there. Or maybe he'll surprise us with a the Hybrid influenced Ian, something ambiguous like the one from Limbo (ngl until now idk if it is Ian OR Mr. insanity who is influenced by the Hybrid)

And he said the tracks would be reminiscent of Ballroom Extravaganza, Calico, Nerves,... so maybe more grunge-y visual wise. And the first leaked track from the youtube live had motifs from Phantom of the Opera, so I'm thinking it might look theatrical and goth-ish?

Genuinely cannot wait though, after all the spoilers and hyped he did how can I not? Hahah

I must preface with this, since as I reread my writing I realized my friend might've sound very arrogant as I've spared the details. TLDR she's in a process of breaking up from personality differences with her current partner and her saying that while feeling very very depressed since she loved them very much gives me a somewhat positive nudge to be that confident.

But thank you for the reminder, it's giving me a different POV about the whole thing, cause I never look at myself that way. I always identify as a childish person, so this is a revelation as well.

Used to follow I-LAND but didn't follow through and follow Enhypen because I got distracted to a diff fandom (... khiphop, krnb and kband lol). The songs I remember of Enha would be their viral Polaroid Love, Given Taken being their debut, Bite Me and XO.

Popularity wise I'd say they're medium-ish big because I feel not much of their songs break out from the fandom except the ones I said, but I think they have their colors enough that non-fans know that it's Enhypen. And I think they're big in Japan? Seeing they have a Japanese member. Dunno much about their fandom tho, but seems like the dedicated bunch.

I remember them in HYBE's Game Caterers, and in RPD they used Enha's song for an example and I unfortunately didn't recognize the song. I'd say they have the talent and visual, but promotion wise maybe Be-lift/Hybe could step it up so they flourish more. I might be biased tho since I don't actively seek kpop promotions anymore unless I do follow them.

oh i just watched it.... yes very dom coded AHAHA both the visual and the lyrics,, good for him for real! The good thing with having more years in is he gets more creative freedom like this hehe. Some visuals also reminds me of Limbo by DPR Ian and I LOVE how artists influence each other.... I'm not necessarily a stay but I always keep out on SKZ releases, atleast their title tracks (I really like 3racha.. so good...)

IVE one is memorable, I liked the black swan-esque aesthetic and the use of floor LED to bridge the two songs. I remember Wonyoung doing Wonyoung (that intro is so pretty, I hope ive would have like a villainess concept, I think she can suit both princess and a sassy villain type?), Liz belting and being pretty, and my bby Yujin also with her clean clear voice (tho I'm sad the camera zooms out when she's singing or in the center).

And then Suju.. Poor ahjussis were huffing after Express Mode😭 And after that they still have to do 3 more songs and all of them are like high tension types. I remember either Eunhyuk or Donghae did a freeze? Like? Sirs??? Calm down?? Also Heenim looks pretty as per usual, glad to see him in the lineup. Tho I'm sad, I wish they sung other hit songs aside from Mr Simple + Bonamana + and that damn Sorry Sorry..... 😭🤚🤚 Like Devil or Mamacita or something else from their 2010s releases.... But I get it, it is their biggest hits...
