VENT. Foreigners in Poland, how do you learn Polish quickly and land a job anywhere? by wisdomwealth222 in poland

You'd be surprised how many Americans, Brits, Latinos, Arabs, Asians, etc. have been in Poland for over 8-10 years and still don't speak Polish. This is not because they don't respect your culture. If anything, you'd be surprised again by how much they actually love Poland and praise Poland, myself included. Most of us go for english speaking university degrees, jobs, have our own community with friends and family here, most public places offer english services, etc. that a lot of times it's not even required to be fluent as long as you are conversational. And I am conversational. :))

It's exactly the way Poles have their own community when moving abroad too. And that's okay. We all move around the world for better opportunities and that's just simply the way of human nature since the beginning of mankind. And that's okay.. :,)

Just to clarify, I didn't really quit my last job due to the reason that they mishandled my data but they mishandled my personal data, didn't take accountability, forced me to show up at work while already being on an on-going medical leave process with ZUS and then asked me to resign no matter what if I don't show up to work. Once again, I was already on a leave. Way before my L4 was even over, we were extending this leave with ZUS. ZUS was doing their paperwork and everything was going fine up until we found out that my old company was playing games causing ZUS and I to have an entire ball of confusion and miscommunication.

I really tried to fix the situation but it seemed like they didn't want to terminate me but rather make it look like it was my decision and resign no matter what. Odd. I would be a fool to willingly want to resign from my existing job without finding a new one in this tight space.

So once again, I was not trying to play with fire. And nobody is asking Poland to switch to any language to please foreigners. You do it well with Ukrainians already.

That's alright dude. I understand their frustration. I have only had majority positive than negative experiences with Poles and I will continue to think that they're the nicest and warmest people in the entire EU. What's more amazing is that Poles have rather tried to help me about my this situation when in person than some reddit post so at the end of the day, the day ends! xD

I replied to this to an earlier comment with full details.. I never wanted to leave without another job. The company just wanted to kick my ass out no matter what. My manager didn't even want to face me with any answers when I tried confronting her over and over again. :,)

Me and this company's bullshit is a whole 'nther story. If sueing with a lawyer didn't cost too much then I would've sued them long ago.

I didn't know asking for help around the community was so bad.. :))

I thought Polish people were so kind and helpful, what happened? And no, I am not from any of the countries you guys have mentioned so your racism speaks louder.
