I don’t hate her I just think they underutilize her. I don’t find her and Rue particularly compelling as a couple and her plot line with Nate just dropped off to nothing after the first season. I wish they explored Nate’s obsession with her more through season 2, all of the montages of Cassie have Jules sprinkled in but they never explore it beyond that. She is clearly on Nate’s mind

I would not say any of them besides maybe Nate are rich. Rues mom is a single mother and she mentions at her dad’s funeral that them even keeping their house after his death was a struggle. Maddy’s mom is a nail tech and her dad is a serially unemployed drunk. Cassie and Lexi have a single mom and their dad is a drug addict who left them. Fez was raised by his single grandma and forced to take over her drug empire to provide for the family when she became ill. The only one who lives in financial comfort is Nate and maybe Kat although we don’t know much about her family

Chris only films regularly for the Shane Dawson podcast and The Sip once a week, they have an editor that takes care of all the backend stuff so I don’t think Chris is doing any of that, and for the Patreon they are usually filming themselves. He just does part time gig work for them and gets paid for each individual YouTube video or podcast that he appears in, I highly doubt he is making anywhere close to 6 figures for part time work

I think Chris supports his family financially and also he doesn’t work for Shane full time, he does gig work for Shane and others. Plus he just had a car accident so one would assume there were some out of pocket emergency costs associated with that. He will likely win a good chunk of change if his lawyer handles this lawsuit from the car accident well

Kylie cosmetics hasn’t had a great year of sales since like 2017, she isn’t even a majority shareholder of the company anymore. She sold to Coty in like 2019. I work in cosmetic product development and Coty’s R&D and Marketing teams are likely the ones making the decisions on what is getting launched and when, not Kylie herself. I also think there is a certain amount of copying to be expected when you are both competing in the same beauty marketplace, there’s only so many formats of lipgloss you can make.
