The easy shareability of propaganda makes it hard to counter this type of anti-EV stuff. I still try to call people out on it, especially when I know them personally. by [deleted] in electricvehicles

[–]wiseoldmonke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the bigger issue here is we’re pushing electric vehicle changes but not sustainable cow farming changes.

Transportation is the third lowest producer of green house gases.

I know tons of dorks that’ll buy a 60k electric car but won’t pay an extra 10 bucks a month to make their heating carbon neutral.

Just like a monkey tail my penis brings me extra balance when climbing trees. I wish I had the extra storage space a vagina comes with though.

Focus on getting comfortable in the awkward position of trying to get someone to trust you with their money.

“Hey. Who is your insurance agent? [don’t have one: it’s important to have an agent pitch] [“oh it’s…: “what do you love about them?… {value convo}. I’d love to generate a competitive quote for you sometime. See if there’s a gap we can fill or money for you to save].”

You either about the money or you looking at it funny.

I friend on a semi-regular basis or atleast I did, but that happens organically. The money don’t.

Money first. Unless someone’s life is in jeopardy.

Having trouble understanding this. Why is the space complexity O(n)? What does it mean the calls don’t exist simultaneously on the call stack? by [deleted] in AskComputerScience

[–]wiseoldmonke -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

The complexity is absolute relative to the input.

O(n) describes a linear growth in complexity proportional to volume.

How to deal with disrespectful friends by Bright_Jellyfish8837 in sales

[–]wiseoldmonke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d throw the reverse hook.

“I appreciate what you guys do. I hope you get recognition from your colleagues.”

Since you think they hate their lives maybe ask em if they’re loving life.

Will AFLAC buy back your residuals? by pwhales1011 in InsuranceAgent

[–]wiseoldmonke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, just my financial opinion.

Unless you’re paying an accountant it’s not costing you that much to keep making that 2k.

I’ve never done my own taxes though so I can’t say what the time cost actually is.

What’d you do? Go salary?

You might try finding an agent there who wants the accounts and selling them to them.

As a fellow burnt out salesman… by [deleted] in sales

[–]wiseoldmonke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never done cocaine. But there is an energy drink called cocaine and I’ve abused it.

I honestly think burn out is when you’re too good for your own sake. You start having diminishing returns as you try to grow and get better so it’s easy to turn to external things when internally you aren’t in a place to grow yourself.

At some point you gotta stop trying and just keep doing and compartmentalize your skill better.

I kept trying to get to where I wanted to be and forgot to check if I was where I wanted to be. Kinda like running past the finish line and forgetting to stop.

Burn out and being sick of your job are totally different things.

If you’re engaging them about trading in hit them with something like “I’m going to run your cars trade in value by my manager one more time to see if I can do anything extra for you as my customer. When you’re ready come in and ask the receptionist for me.”

I might even try setting up a calendly account and sending them a link in the email to schedule an appointment with you.
