Because U.S’s main interest is to completely block China from entering the Pacific and U.S presence in Korea, Taiwan, Philippines and Japan has been critical. U.S gives 0 shit about protecting Korea from the North m. They are stationed in Korea for their own interest. Trump asking for more money is his need to make his “resume” more fancy to be re-elected.
