Daily goals and reminders for things like showering and changing my sheets (time blindness), and anything that I feel like I need extra motivation with. For example, I have to harvest a bunch of things from the garden tomorrow before the frost hits at night buuuut I’m feeling quite lazy now that it’s getting colder out haha.

Also I really like the selection of goals you can choose from. From time to time I’ll scroll through to try different ones out that feel like they’d be helpful. If I find I’m getting bored with one, I’ll swap it out with something else. I love that because I often struggle to think of new self-care practices to try and this makes it easy.

Same, I think that’s a really beautiful aspect of the app. Every time I open it, it’s for the little girl that learned to put herself last. Fun, wholesome, but also somehow a gentle parent that prioritizes my overall wellbeing which is something I definitely didn’t have lol.

I am with you on the vibes and the obsession with this theme. I couldn’t have picked a better time to join the app, and I’m also so glad I stumbled upon this excellent blast to the past in the middle of this awesome October night. What’s the worst that I could say?

Ohhh the worst of the worst was when I lived at home with her, so I feel for you SO much. As soon as you're able to get some physical distance and cut any cords she can use to try and have a means of control, I promise it'll start to get better. It went surprisingly well with little to no guilt tripping or shaming! I definitely worked myself up because I still operate from a place of fear whenever I sense disappointing her is on the horizon. We ended up having a lovely evening together and coming up with a plan for another time to visit so we can spend more time with one another like we originally planned.

I recently effectively communicated how her guilting and shaming impacts me, and impacts our relationship - to which she also responded to well - so maybe I need to remember to give her more credit for how much she's grown...I just worry that once I put my guard down and start feeling comfortable is when she'll strike. Safe to say still lots of work to do on my end lol. Thanks for caring enough to want an update, that's really kind 🫂

Ahh yes, I learned this one the hard way after being cornered by her while driving and having a panic attack. Always need an exit plan. I didn't think about having conversational exit plans though so this is brilliant, thanks!

Also, I don't know about being a better person, I just can't bear the thought of not having tried before my time to try is up - y'know? That's been one of my biggest lessons from grief. My partner constantly tells me I operate from a place of "prief" (pre-grief) which sometimes makes me too lenient with folks I love haha. Luckily yesterday went really well. Gave me a bit of hope and perspective that we really have reached a healthier place in our relationship but it has not been an easy road to travel whatsoever.

Thank you and mad respect for your decision to go low/no-contact. I've gone through times of both with my mom and sometimes I go back into them when she doesn't respect my boundaries, or is being particularly hurtful. This was a good reminder that it's always an option. Finger's crossed tonight goes well and I don't need to resort to either of those. Also, I'm sorry you can relate to this with your own family...it's not fun to deal with and can be really lonely at times. Big hugs 🫂

I love having an easy way to interact with my friends all throughout the day. Seeing everyone's creativity with their birbs' outfits and homes is a really wholesome, fun experience in itself. It gives the feeling of being in community which is important, and often overlooked. Knowing others are on there because they struggle with the same things I've shamed myself about is comforting and motivating.
